Didn't intend for ramble to be misinterpreted as a rant. Just a witty observation. Well, perhaps not so witty as much as a perspective.

Not sure what you mean by that. If you are insinuating that I'm not acting my age due to family status, well- that's just ridiculous. I play this game with guys that have kids that have had kids, retired service men, etc. I fully intend on playing computer games with my son when he grows up. Don't allow society to dictate what you do with your spare time in this regard.

i hat the worst ctd last night the same server ctd 3 times. sure ctd would happen every so often but not 3 times in a row.

Same thing happened to us, 3 crashes in a row. One of the crashes the timer counted all the way down to 0 then just sat there, with no connection warning message like it normally does. I think it was someone actually crashing the server with a corrupted patch install because they didn't come back after the 3rd crash and we actually got to play a few rounds.

I hate to add fuel to the fire, but I wish they would just hotpatch quickly with v1.31 and come along with v1.4 in a month or two. And admitting to the community that they have the answer but are going to allow 3 months to have passed before fixing serious problems. Back with v1.1, was it? they released a hotfix a couple days later, v1.12! Seems like everyone forgot that.

Then people say BF1942 was the golden game! hahahahaha, WTFever. That game was super buggy, way more buggy then BF2 for quite awhile. I recall it was not till the second patch that it started to get much more stable.

I've been away mostly due to me killing my 6800GT but other factors have contributed. Tonight was the night for me. The wife went to bed, my 5 month old son is asleep, and I'm staying up late just to squeeze a game in. What am I greeted with when I load my SF map for the first time...? CRASH after loading the map. I laugh it off because I've read all about this already. Restart the game, load the map, CRASH!!!! What a joke. It really hit home since I've been away for so long. Last I played- the freakn' game was actually playable.

Anyway, I know I'm simply echoing what's already been riddled throughout this message board. It's just that problems with the game have never been so apparent.

Yeah- I'm running out and buying a stupid booster pack. /sarcasm

Finally got one and a half games in. First attempt today was greeted with a crash to desktop. I deleted my cache folder and hit esc after the map loaded this time and I got in. Boy am I rusty!!! Guess it has been a while but geez.
