I suppose I can see why you think arty is gay... coming in groups of 3 and putting all the guys to shame... when will people stop using gay as an adjective for something they dont like!!!!!

To the OP, keep practicing with those planes and choppers mate! practice makes perfect, no doubt about it.:)

The L96 is good for mid to short range sniping, but for those long shots I prefer the M95.Aim above their heads 200 meters or further out.Lead them in the direction they are moving. In Mechwarrior 3 we used to call it lag shooting.Pay attention to whats happening around you at any given time during the battle.Such as you get blasted at a cp as a medic by a Lav or tank.Spawn back as AT.Got a hot infantry battle going on for a cp,spawn as support or medic.Match your kit to the situation at hand and helps your team the most.

I killed awhile ago some veteran Counterstrike veteran at his own game while he taught that those BF2 whores were nothing compared to his skills.

I'd add another two: zoom in.

Another tip for sniping is that while you may not get a one shot kill, look for the "hit indication" on your crosshairs. You should see four lines at 45 degree angles to your crosshairs. Anytime you see those "hit indications" your projectiles are striking their target. If you get a "hit indication" using a sniper rifle and not a kill, you most likely have knocked him down from full health to only two bars left. When that happens, quickly press your 2 key, zoom in with your pistol, and finish him off. It should take only 1 "hit" with your pistol to kill him. You may have to fire 5 or more rounds (which take some practice, because the pistols sight differently), but, you only need 1 or 2 "hits" to kill him.

excellent tips from all. in respect to this one though, thanks. I was wondering what those were. I saw them when using the M4 and wasn't sure but I thought maybe it meant I was "locked on". the hit indicator makes sense now. I can't say I've ever noticed them on the sniper rifle even when I did hit someone. haha. but I'll hold the fire button more often now and watch for them. And the pistol trick worked perfect for me a couple times last night.

If you are having a problem with artillery it means you are being complete predictable.

Think and be unpredictable and arty will be nothing more than a sound way in the distance.

Arty is easy to avoid, since you can hear it coming.

If you hear arty and it's not urs, and you find yourself capping a flag with a lot of people around, it's a pretty good bet it's coming your way. You got 15 seconds before it strikes. Plenty warning.

I get killed by arty alot when I'm just by myself someplace. and actually even them it happens a lot when I first respawn (obviously at a flag).

stop being gay about gay. it's gay.

another thing I learned today is not to go into maps with a lot of planes. there's always that one moron that has to sit there and bomb the spawn points so when you finally spawn after 10 seconds you get bombed again. it's gay. HAHA

It's not very easy to just sit there in a plane and bomb .. and wait.. and bomb.. and wait..
He's flying over the bases and killing enemies. Spawn somewhere else if your concerned.
