Your Opinion on the L85A1 ?

It is my favourite gun but my clan mates feel this gun is one of the worst unlocks you can get and i am the only one in my clan that is able to use this gun well.

It is a great gun , you can set it on full auto and fire your way through infantry or you can do the stealthy approach set your fire mode on one shot and use the gun as a Medium-Close range Sniper Rifle. One shot to the head and there dead , if not 1 only 3 at the most.

I am a real ground and pound person , never really in a Heli etc. and i love battling my way through 10-20 of infantry with my squad and doing the majority of the work , reviving my squad mates and clearing the nearby enemies. Most of the time i will only get killed with that gun when a good sniper gets me or a worthy support or medic soldier faces me.

Im great with this gun and im wondering what other's feel about it , are you good with it ?. Do you think it sucks ?. What.

It's a freaking headshot-machine, I love it.

Gotta love the reload, the mag doesn't seem to fit in the gun :p

Yea i like it 2 but the full auto sux :) i always play single shot, even close encouters you will have a very accurate shot which i like much more then shooting your bullets away if only a few hit :) in close combat i click a few times and my enemy is dead :P

Usually One Shot Kill is ok but alot of guys with PKM will kill you before you have time to lay 3 single shots into him.

ya i find its not a good sprayer, witch is good for longer distance shots

i used to love it but i now prefer the g36 and the ak101, its full auto is good in close combat situations though

I play a lot of medic, and I switch between AK101, L85 and G36E depending upon the senario. Long to mid range approach = L85; mid to close range = AK101; when I need to go rambo and tear ish up = G36E.

Really the G36E is the best gun, except for lack of scope. But after pwning n00b after n00b with it, I need to change it up.

Kills with the AK101 feel more raw and dirty - I love that weapon.

I agree with the OP about the G36E being the best gun, but back to the topic, the L85A1 is still a decent gun, but people need to seriously learn this gun. Auto mode is a waste of bullets unless you burst at close range. In single fire mode in prone with well timed shots makes this gun as deadly as any in the game.

Personally, I am glad the L85A1 gets negative feedback because it makes me feel that much better when I own with it.

the 1st medic unlock is one of the best weapons. On single shot it gives the best results.

Use the scope. It's way more accurate with the scope in full auto.

Not really, no.

The G36E really isn't that good. In close combat the P90 (yes, the P90) and the shotguns own it. At medium range the LMGs and the SVD/Type 98 own it. At long distances the L85 and the bolt-action sniper rifles own it. In a decent squad, a G36E should cause no-one any problems.

I use the L85A1 on more wide-open maps, as it has much better range than the G36E. On city maps, though, the G36E has a lot more stopping power than the L85A1 and is accurate enough for the distances you'll encounter on those maps. So, as above stated, It's situational.

The L85A1 was my first unlock...hated it at first, but it's ownage if you know how to use it right. Now it's my second favorite rifle in the game after the G3. Good optics mean precision medium- and long-range shots, and you can go to Hose Mode for close encounters.

I am far from a fan with it, i spent hour after hour with it and just cant get the aiming precise first time every time like i can with the g36e. it also 'feels' weak, its got a piddly little sound (which does make it harder to locate) and yeh, i just cant explain it, it feels weak.

L85A1 is one of the better unlocks. It is accurate and does good damage.

Some situations i have used that gun and thought i would never have got that kill with the g36e. But i have found the same with the g36e in comparison to the l85a1. The 3 burst of the g36e has got me out of alot of very tough situations.

I actually prefer auto with the l85a1 unless i am sniping. 2/3 rounds and you are almost garaunteed a middle and torso hit. This normally enough to kill. Single rounds give too much time to the player to respond.

After saying all that I use the g36e more than any other unlock.
