    Flying license test

OMG, I know it'd not be easy to implement this kind of thing, but I think this is needed.

I've had enough noobs crashing the helo 2 secs after take-off, or just fly around with no idea on what he is doing. I am not the "OMGL33tH4xsloi" chopper pilot, but at least I can survive decently alone, or with a good gunner.

I can't believe the game is out for so much time and there are still people clueless when they take the pilot seat. No more ticket wasting, we need a license test before people is allowed to fly.

Stupid idea. There's even stupidier people around who DO know how to fly that do even dumber things.

At least we need something to identify people as "noob pilot", without needing to see/feel it.

Won't work, and even if it was implemented it would be the stat padders new realm of annoyance. I can imagine all the Flight School servers popping up now.... The only thing you can do is check other players rank.

I've sometimes played with the idea of a certification system kinda like the one used by America's Army (game, not IRL).

The idea would be to only allow "certified" players to take various vehicles. To become certified, you must fill a minimum requirement in some other area, then pass a test which is run via a secured link to the master server.

Donno if it would really fly as a concept, tho.

Ranks are misleading. I've seen high ranked people that don't know anything besides armor whoring and also low-ranked people with amazing flying skills.

This is happening more often now. It seems like a lot of people is making new accounts to play.

Exactly...smart idea if you want to play on specific servers, but not a good idea if anyone "online" can join etc...

Heck, I am a crap pilot, but I have enough time and points to make it clear that I know somewhat what the game is about. I want to learn to be a pilot too, and will start soon, but in your idea, I could not do it anymore as I would have to be "certified" as good enough. How about those that know how to fly just stop flying so much and let us that don't know, to learn?? Good idea, but just as hard to implement.

No feedback on my certification idea?

An example of a test to get Blackhawk certified could be to have to pick up some bots off a mountain side. The terrain would be tricky and you'd have to have good situational awareness in order to make a succesful pickup without wrecking on a tree.

APC certification could be to move from point A to point B through a hotzone with a full load of troops.

Certs could be tier based too, requiring you to become transport certified before moving onto attack chopper, or APCs before Tanks.

I'm really not sure about the whole idea tho. Prolly it would be required as a core feature for a future game that would be designed with this in mind.

They could make it where the bots constantly spam "let me fly, get out, i want to fly" or have the occasional bot head shot you when you go to pick them up.

Why dont they also make a cap on the amount of time a person can fly too.? That way more people would get a go at it. Say a 50/50 ratio, you have a global hours of 100, you can only fly 50. I'm sure that would **** a lot of people off but it would even the playing field a little.

it's not up to you to decide who is good and who is not, vehicles remain available to ALL players no matter what their skill level is...
