Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
The other day, I was playing Operation Harvest, and our team was taking the Silo. I was up on the top, but I'd used all the rockets on other vehicles. I turned to jump off, when I noticed this tank scream into the base, parking next to the flag to stop the capture.
Well, I just proned and pointed the SRAW at him, to make his warning lights blink. Sure enough, he zooms out, and we take the point. Ah, I love spoofing early warning systems.
Works very well with choppers too
Gotta love how the new pilots get nervous.
I was under the impression that they always did... At least from my experience when pointing my tube against a helicopter they go nuts most of the time.
I also recall hearing a beep before being shot out of the chopper by an ERYX, and no AA site was even remotely close.
Please correct me if I am wrong maybe it was just my immagination toying with me.
My scores are lower but I help my team in more ways than they know. I alone, on foot, dodge between dueling tanks to help my team mate win the fight. I'm the one always screaming for more ammo! I get no credit and no one sees my work. I am AT.
Nobody sees it? I pretty the tanks and apcs you shoot know youre there.
I wouldn't consider myself a bad player, but I just can't seem to rack up so many points when playing AT. Well maybe that's bacause I avoid armor like a plague. I just don't like how they handle in BF2. Short I suck in armor, and armor is what most people accumulate their points with. So I'm probably stuck there...
Alpha,
You don't have to be driving armor to score points. Ride along as a passenger and hop out to give a hand to the APC/Tank. When I play with my buddies online, I have my driver spawn as engineer/squadleader to retreat and repair, while 2~3 of us ride along as AT. No lone armor can withstand that attack when everyone hops out and scores a hit.
Just saying tanks are fun and very effective. AND Most AT's suck. Spot em so easy, and they use the scope alot which flashes in my tank.
By the way, I wasn't camping, I was tryna take the flag!!
I play AT most of the time and when I do I get my best scores. I have no trouble at all getting 4/5 shots at armour without being shot to bits. The trick is to just fire (preferably at the tracks/wheels but don't spend 4 hours painstakingly aiming), take cover, move position, fire and repeat.
The standard sub-machine gun is crap, but the trusty DAO-12 is easily the best close quarter weapon in the game - all you need is a twitchy rapid trigger finger and a good mind for out-foxing the enemy. For instance, you can't fire the thing effectively further than 10ft, so if you come across a few enemies at a range of 20ft or so fire a few shots in their direction and dodge their fire behind a corner. Wait a few seconds for their inevitable approach then storm out and let them have it. Don't use your rocket as an anti-personnel weapon unless absolutely neccesary, as it's just rather gay to do so.

Lol I hate getting shot in the face with a rocket point blank. It's so degrading..
I use the rocket launcher sometimes on snipers trying to hit me.. If I don't crank out the pistol. Rocket 1 shot kill, or miss.. :p
