That's right. I'm the guy you see firing off a rocket into that T-90 while you run with the L85. I'm the guy you see ending up somewhere on that score list. It doesn't matter where. It doesnt matter if my rocket hits those moving machines first or last. What matters is that Ienjoy doing my share of damage, my contribution. 4 Rockets to the turret - or even two to the tracks. Maybe even a little sissy to the side and let someone else finish the job. I enjoy every second as long as my rockets are flying and tanks are exploding. Nothing beats that "Cling" sound followed by big, bright, juicy fireworks.

I'm glad I'm not the only stupid person that spawns as AT after getting raped by armor! :laugh: Gotta love when all your teammates keep spawning as snipers and medics even though they just got raped. Btw, you should become adept at aiming and guiding your rockets without the rightclick zoom. It's alot faster and you can pop in and out of cover without being seen by armor.

Yeah, that sure does help, onfortunately it's difficult to get a direct hit on the front tracks when the tank is coming right at you, or at an angle. Always go prone if they are close - gives you time to reload because the turret can not bend that low!
P.S. I play as AT 90% of the time (actually, starting from a few days ago... the game is not as fun as it used to be once you get all the unlocks you wanted), not just when there's armor around.

By the way, I used to thing that hitting ANY part of the tracks does the same amount of damage - but hitting the front does the most. In fact, I dont think it matters if you hit the side plate or the side tracks, I am pretty sure you will inflict the same amount of damage.

I'm always the one with bad luck. I'll get pwned by a tank, only to spawn as AT, then I'll end up running into enemy infantry! Then, once I try to combat the enemy infantry with assault/medic/spec-ops kits, I'll start running into tanks again!

Shoot at the treads where they angle down. 1 shot takes half the armor away.

Also, try learning to fire the AT round without scoping in as it does NOT set off the alarm for the driver...

My scores are lower but I help my team in more ways than they know. I alone, on foot, dodge between dueling tanks to help my team mate win the fight. I'm the one always screaming for more ammo! I get no credit and no one sees my work. I am AT.

Good to know there's others carrying around that heavy tube on their shoulders too

It's a sucky job, and it surely doesn't show at the end of the scorelist, but most of the time my teammates appreciate it, and most importantly I get an ego-booster out of it
I also like the medics that revive me after I got shot by the T90, or APC just to give me a second shot at this bastid armorwhore even if I risk dying: if I already shot the armor once, and I get revived I will hunt the bastid down even if it is the only and last thing I am going to do during this map. And I will do anything to give him that second shot.

I also like shooting at a supply crate before I hit the tank and see how the armorpussy backs off like a scared little sissie as soon as she hears the beeping sound. Well knowing that now nothing is there to protect her anymore, and auto repair her insta-bail-mobile.

Yes, I am an ATWhore, and I admit tubing every proning infantry guy before I pull out my DAO, and pump his belly full of lead if no armor is around to fight against. If I see Armor and I am out of ammo, and no one is here to resupply me I will commit suicide in order to re-arm and respawn at the next flag.

So next time you see me on the battlefield you better jump back in your precious little tank or you're going to have a much shorter life span then you already have now when sitting in your steel coffin.

Dunno what you people are doing to acquire such low scores. I always make it near the top of the list when I play as AT, or any other class for that matter except engineer. I also like to whore APCs while I play as AT to hunt down other armor whores. There's nothing better than hitting a tank with the TOW and popping out to hit them with the AT rocket so they blow up!

I wouldn't consider myself a bad player, but I just can't seem to rack up so many points when playing AT. Well maybe that's bacause I avoid armor like a plague. I just don't like how they handle in BF2. Short I suck in armor, and armor is what most people accumulate their points with. So I'm probably stuck there...

Definitly, it's fun to go AT (or Specs) as a backup shot when driving an APC. Because the reload missile just takes too long. fun fun

I stopped going AT these days, the shotgun is TOO close quarters, and the missiles don't do enough damage to keep me alive longer. 1 shot he's looking for you, 2nd he's found you (If I missed the tracks), 3rd you're lucky, 4th YOU'RE LUCKY he hasn't shot you!.

I prefer to hunt with C4, or respawn with it to kill a spawn raper. Each to their own..

I've driven into a service station main base and killed everyone there for a minute straight, kill kill kill kill kill, spawn kill, spawn kill..
Had everyone spawning as AT and I'd snipe em with the tanks machine gun at building edges, distance, everything. Then some as Specs running around me to get me, killed em. Constant rush, I thought the flag was going to be empty!?! lol. Armour is fun, but AT's really have no chance when they're aiming at you!

Use the pistol for distant shots.
It is very lethal with a bit of practice I recently found out
But you do best in shooting the other guy in the back

Thought you might be able to teach me something, after all I would really like to find a way to accumulate some good scores as AT - not just on Karkand. It seems the people manning armor, and aircrafts are always top. And when I get top of the list I'll only go silver because the commander gets all the gold
And the nonplusultra is that some random dude who had AT kit sitting in a tank spawnraping gets best Antitank score for the round... Not that it would really matter but sometimes it just makes me wonder.

And regarding your stats, they CANNOT be as pathetic as mine. So if you need an ego-boost, and a good laugh have a look at my stats:laugh:

The other day, I was playing Operation Harvest, and our team was taking the Silo. I was up on the top, but I'd used all the rockets on other vehicles. I turned to jump off, when I noticed this tank scream into the base, parking next to the flag to stop the capture.

Well, I just proned and pointed the SRAW at him, to make his warning lights blink. Sure enough, he zooms out, and we take the point. Ah, I love spoofing early warning systems.
