3 weeks of CTD's, connection problems, and server instability and the only thing we've heard from EA/Dice is "Yeah, we know we f***** up."

Here's an idea for EA; just keep delaying any announcements or hotfixes until the 2142 beta comes out.

Unlucky you. I was playing for several hours tonight and had NOTHING go wrong.

besides, dice canada and dice sweden are seperate entities, working on seperate portions of the same stuff. You'll see.

It's not bad luck when there are thousands of people having these problems really. There are still people that purchased Armored Fury on the 6th of June, and still to this day can't get that sh1t to work.

Did DICE.ca develop Special Forces, the boosters and patches?

..and DICE.se is developing BF2142, right?

I jumper right on the "No Problem Bandwagon" soon after 1.3 came out.........how silly of me.

I have played about 6 rounds in the last 5 days because of crashes in m game.

Its strange, everything was fine......going well then one day I get this kinda freeze up but it repeats the sound over and over.......then it unfreezes i move for about 3 seconds and i get "There is a problem with your connection" and then im d/c'd.

I was lucky enough to find F.E.A.R and its kept me sane for the last few days but I want my BF2 back.

It is important for the layman to realise that all the nerfing, the shoddy patches that required more patches, the patch-born bugs are dice canada's fault.

Too often people are blaming EA (who have nothing to do with it, really) and DICE as a whole.

OK Dice sweeden make the game, EA tests the game in Redwoodcity CA. Testers just find the bugs we cant fix them.(we just are not trusted to look at source) We send reports to dice and they just fix the easy stuff and some of the crash bugs. There is a serious effort on the testers side to get crash bugs fixed, however the team for bf2 has been gutted.

I really just want the hotfixes for 1.3 and then just leave it at that because every patch causes new and bigger problems that we have to deal with for weeks and causes less and less people to wanna buy BF2142

WHAT? Are you moronic? Of COURSE EA have something to do with it, if not everything. THEY are the ones pushing the patch out as fast as possible before it's had a chance to be tested... they're the ones pushing to have the games released buggy in the first place to keep up with competition, they're the ones keeping tight reign on Dice to make sure they don't spend too long on this patch that it could infringe on other projects. EA and Dice are effectively a single entity anyway since they merged. And for a studio merging with EA it always means bad news.

I definatly agree. Also to add to it, since EA and DICE merged obviously it wasnt only DICE.

So far from what ive seen i only crash when connected to Linux based servers, id say every 45 min....boom. but when i play on servers that are on windows i never crash.

You mean that final retail version of the game (which will be so buggy it will be like a beta if BF2 is anything to go by!)

Its kind of weird, but my BF2 performance has increase lately, I think it have somthing to do with les players on the servers, but those damn crashes ****es me off.

ea does have some thing to do with it its called guilt by association

if you were payingfor some one to to run a business for you and you paid to put your name you funded the guys capitol for your business and then the guy F'd up i think you would be just as much at fault as the guy
its the fact that ea claims the game is one of their best sellers and they value the community, yet their actions do not bak this up. and im sure dice gets to make all the major decisions since ea is writing the checks


alot of you people seem to have trouble wit hthe fact that video games and video game companys are some sorta fantasy. while the game maybe be fantasy, or not real life, the companys still have to adhear to the rules of the real world and that is being ACCOUNTABLE for what you get involved in.

I have good and bad sessions.

It seems that some days I can play for hours without problems but my friend will have 'problem with connection' errors.

Then other days I will get problem with connection errors on lots of different servers and crashes to the desktop.
