Seriously that was like one of the best maps on BF1942, if not the best. Class map.. loads of variety, and there was always one spot where the fighting would be centered, unless someone caught a flag somewhere else.. then it would switch over. Plus the competition for the airfield, always changing hands. Another map like that would be awesome.

Plus if you guys think about... Vanilla 1942 had 16 maps just with the original game. They gave us something like 5 free maps through patches..

With Battlefield 2, the game shipped with ten maps, and we've thus far had one free which was just a remake of an old map. I think Dice, operating on their own, felt less tied down by time constraints before and were willing to give up time to make the maps. Now with the merger of EA and Dice and 2142, they just aren't doing it anymore. Usually when a studio merges with EA it signals it's death. Look at Bullfrog, Origin, Westwood, etc. All these studios were making classic games.Comment

seriously people might want 3+maps but i think we will be lucky to get one for our patch troubles

Yeah, they should make another map.. Its not like it takes THAT long to make it.. They could put a team of what, 3 people togeather and make a nice map.. I mean, I started playin with the level editor yesterday and I think I could make a map like Wake, with a little less quality.. ( not as many extra things such as grass, too much time)Comment

I REALLY don't understand why EA don't go and do a map design competition, it won't cost them anything in time seeing as they would get other individuals doing the work for them for free. Or perhaps they don't want to get shown up when a supposedly amatuer mapper makes something which is far better than the maps they made?Comment
