I was wondering how the rest of you fellow pilots deal with the idiots that throw themselves under your plane during takeoff. Now I can understand an accident, like running in front of a hanger at just the wrong time, but purposefully doing it just to punish the other person? I was playing Road Rage and was having great fun with the A10, had about 15 kills to 3 deaths when this individual (http://bf2s.com/player/62959462/) decides he wants to fly. I had already seen his skill, or lack thereof (check his aviator stats), but I was willing to let him fly if he got the plane first. If someone gets my plane, I go join the battle, not camp around the hanger like this person (or cause a TK). Well, I get the A10 on 3 different occasions with him standing there trying to get it before me. Each time he throws himself in front of the plane on takeoff and causes a TK. He then punishes me, and after 3 times I get booted from the server for too many punishes against me! I reported him to BFROE but who knows what good that will do. So...what is some good advice for the future? Don't fly? :p

Same here; I just kill them, take the TK and move on with the jet.

It's the main reason why I quit this game. Most people suck in it.. They just do the stupidest stuff that irks me.

See, thats what I kept doing, but it got me kicked from the server. Everyone else saw what he was doing and tried to VK him, but it didn't work. It just ticked me off because I was having a really good round, well except for -12 points because of that idiot. I am hardened to the run overs.

They wanna do that that's great, hopefully the Server admin will see that and throw em out.

I had one last night run into the runway tossing C4 and detonating. I deliberately took him out with a lowered wing but not before losing half the plane's health and several minutes of passes over to re-heal the plane denying the entire team the air support they were screaming for on my A-10.

Just to be sure to stay on admined servers. Justice is out there.

Oh and what happens when I see you run onto the runway? I usually curse your stupidity on the ventrillo if I am with my fellow squadmates and continue the take off roll saying "Let's eat the -6 or whatever, Ive got specific targets to bomb."

Just play on adminned servers. They'll be kicked.

In my experience, the only time during the entire round that I have to worry about being TK'ed for an aircraft or helicopter is within the first 10 seconds; having 2GB RAM, I'm usually the first or 2nd person to spawn on my team. In most cases, this means I get first shot at whatever vehicle I want to use, but I still need to be quick, because it's those first few precious seconds that the entire team is spawning at the main base and looking to grab the air assets and it's at this point that the selfish idiots will TK you because you beat them to the vehicle fair and square.

Once I take-off for the first time, the threat of a TK is pretty much over for the rest of the round, because after the first 2 mins, everyone has pretty much dispersed and moved on from the main base to pursue alternate options. If you're shot down, you simply spawn again and retrieve the jet again shortly thereafter (unless someone is camping the hangar waiting for it), in which case, you could face a potential TK situation trying to take the jet again.

At any rate, my point is.. 90% of all TKs occur within the first 10 seconds of the round. If you can make it thru that with the vehicle of your choice, you're generally set for the rest of the round.

I have always said the game needs to be coded to charge the player who runs or gets runover while on the runway a -10 and charged with a "Is no more" instead of any more Teamkills.

That way one person gets the plane and all others need to back off and clear the way.

I have seen that happen on some servers where people back off voluntarily from the plane I might be in. Those are the people and servers that earn my loyalty. I will share with them the next flight.

Yeah, if someone gets to the plane before me, I always back off and clear out of the way. Hell, if I spawn first, and then see someone else making a mad dash for the jet, I usually let them have it; I just can't understand some of the babies out there that get all butt hurt and attempt to TK over a certain vehicle, as if there are no other options available to them..

Usually, if someone else ends up with the jet or helo at the start, I'll just check again 1/2 way into the round; many times I find the aircraft just sitting there waiting after the n00b crashes it a few times and moves on to something else.
