theres a guy who comes on our server late at night, and every night, without fail he will say "OMFG HACKING P****" or words to that effect, i just read BF2CC and laugh, or if im in game I tell the team to make him target #1

Bless the little darlings who cry hax. Our server brings in anything from Privates to 4 star generals and only a couple of people have i suspected of cheating but that's because they ALWAYS got 1 shot kills on any person that came their way. 49-0 (as a medic on warlord running around) is a bit suspect wouldnt you say? that's a streak and a half but it is very rare that I would accuse someone with a better comp than me (mine is pure gash, so I get FPS drops something chronic) and if I did, it would only be to myself and the punkbuster window

As an amusing example of how people can believe they are seeing cheats where none exist, here's a snipet of convo I had via VoiP with a squadmate awhile back:

Him: "F**kin BS! Damned cheats! that's the thrid time in a row I got killed in one shot!!"
Me: "ummm, dude? You stepped on a claymore"
Him "Screw this cheat ridden piece of garbage! EA sucks!!"
Me: "No, really... you stepped on a claymore. I saw it. I was right there."
Him: *logs off*
Me: :laugh:

There was only one time i KNOW for a fact that someone was using a hack...it was on a 420 server by a 420 clan member...enough said.

FYI, even if someone is using an aimbot, it doesn't mean that they are going to be able to score one shot kills reliably.

It is impossible to remove bullet deviation from the engine. Even the very best written aimbot only increases the chances of landing a shot.

On the other hand, I have seen instances where lag/non-reg hits will suddently conspire to make it seem like you've been killed in one shot when infact you've taken several hits.

Finally, hacks are not as common as some folks seem to believe. Yes, they exist, but no, it's not rampent.

well you like to think your pretty smart about things like this but,
how many hack sites have you joned?
ive joined 4 hacks sites in the past month(an yes there bf2)
the smallest site that i joined has over 100 ussers.
the largest has over 500.
so where do you get that theres not alot of people using hacks from?
as its total bs.
an you'll be suprised to know that one of the new sites was actually givin the hacks away free an all pb proof,now wouldnt that just make the numbers grow?
its ok talkin a good post but when you havent got a clue is a different matter.

is it me or lately its seems bf2 is hacked to death iam getting real tired of the one shot kills from a lot of players no matter what the distance is

i have heard of uber distance hacks eg.they can see name tags from accross the map(not see you but your tag!) and shoot at them and some can go thru material
not sure if this is true as i dont use hacks

I wonder how common it is. I check out the one site that sells the aimbots and they sure do have a lot of hits and new registrations per their advertising rates page.

I'm happy these cheat/hack sites charge people for their hacks. Its actually reduces the number of hackers/cheaters dramatically.

If the hacks/cheats were free then everyone and their right mind would have them? CS anyone?

I've noticed that its the common assumption of a n00b to assume a better players is hacking. If they spent half the time practising that they do complaining about supposed "hackers", they might one day receieve the honourable "omfg yur a hax0r!!1111" accusation.

i had people call me a noob before n my kd ratio was horrible when i first took up this game. since then, i have people calling me hacker for giveing them 1 shot kills with my PKM. :) darn, i luv it when people call me a haxor! makes me feel gd ya know.

no cheat will be pb proof for long. pb learns new cheats. when it detects a new cheat, i remembers it and then its able to detect it again.
