    Re: hacked

I read that a lot. People telling victims of hackers they are just upset cause they got owned. Makes me wonder if the hacking is far more common that anyone thinks. If I was a hacker I would say the same thing to protect my secret. I think that is the same logic as people who refuse to say how an exploit happens like the recent Karkand Hotel Wall glitch. People want to keep it "secret" so they can use it themselves. When it is much better that everyone knows about it so more can watch out for it and stop it.

I suck at BF2, I could care less if someone owns me. But when I'm getting killed by the no fog hack it is obvious someone is cheating.

I get the drop on a guy, unload a whole clip into him and he turns around and kills me with the first bullet out of his gun I always say damn I'm just not lucky. Maybe he's got a hack but it is not as obvious as the no fog shots are so I assume he is lucky or good.

Thats a good tactic using the commander view to see a distant enemy but how effective can that be when it takes about a second for the map to zoom when you hit the caps lock? It doesn't seem quick enough to be able to follow a guy with the .50 cal.

Unless you have screenshots, bfr files, or some kind of PROOF that this happens- its not obvious. Us forum members don't make judgements like that based on someone's story. Most of the time it is exaggerated or a misunderstanding. I'm not trying to hide my uber sweet hax0rs by saying this, its just the truth.

Head shot with a pistol is instant kill. I tried it before the round started once.

          Re: hacked

i encountered one guy a few days ago, killed me with the second bullet, EVERY time the 10 times i encountered him. the first bullet misses, the second bullet headshots, the third is useless. seemed a little funny to me.

PS: pistol is 2 shots to the head, same with SMGs, for a full health target.

            Ok First person account.

I'm MEC on Kark, retaking the cement factory flag. I'm in APC, a friend is in the Tank next to me. Well, the USMC tank on top of the Ramp near the square killed us both using a total of 5 shots - no misses. Our UAV was over him so we knew where he was. It took 2 shots to kill me and I moved after the first hit.

Do me a favor and explain how that can happen. No UAV over us, enemy UAV was over the train accident OP.

I am just saying there seems like a lot more hax out there now than even a couple of months ago. It only cost $20, PB can't detect it. How ya gonna prove it? Even the 5 videos posted early this week were controversy. You saw the Mashtur vids of a suspected Forum Member hacker? Too many people in denial. IMO

              Re: hacked

It's not that hard to take out armor BVR, just aim to where they've been spotted and wait for a hit indicator, then keep shooting once you get one. It's infantry at BVR that is hard.

On the other hand, I have seen instances where lag/non-reg hits will suddently conspire to make it seem like you've been killed in one shot when infact you've taken several hits.

Finally, hacks are not as common as some folks seem to believe. Yes, they exist, but no, it's not rampent.

However if they do know how to use the weapons (when to fire etc), it's just a matter of have the aim to kill someone. But this would only work well in mid to long range shooting while single-shoting. But if you're that good why would you want to cheat?

I do that all the time too. Which is why I always move laterally from the direction the hit came from on the first hit. The second incoming shot from BVR always goes to where I was (ie. shooter not hacking). Unless of course the shooter has an "advantage" lets say and the second shot hits for the kill. Then the third shot on target on my friend? This can't be denied.

I wonder how common it is. I check out the one site that sells the aimbots and they sure do have a lot of hits and new registrations per their advertising rates page.

                        Re: hacked

I 1 shot killed a guy with the M95 from the top of the crane at Intake on Kubra to the flag at lower dam. Did I hack? I was pretty happy with that one as the cross hairs were thicker than his body. At the same time there was a fair amount of luck involved. Regardless, headshots from any of the rifles still produce the same results. Avoid the headshots by moving around. Sitting ducks deserve BOOM HEADSHOT!

As to MG fire following people from long distances. When I command, I am always pointing out people not under the UAV. Lots of snipers and sneaky people trying to take alternative routes or just camp snipe. So it would be relatively easy to track your movement. Besides if he was hacking, he would just get close and aimbot you. No fog has some advantage, but he still has to hit you.

Tank and armor hacks? 5 shots sounds reasonable if you weren't engineers (reason enough for you to die). Two shots to the treads and your buddy is gone. 1-2 for the APC and you are gone. 5 shots meant he wasn't as efficient as he could have been. However, he shouldn't have been able to see you from the ramp at Square. You can't barely see the fence at Cement fro the other side of the river. You may have been mistaken about the Icon in the UAV. You could have been hit with AT shots prior as well with some lucky shots from the tank finishing you off. Any decent commander would have been able to Q spot you for anyone in the area to shoot you.

When you run into an enemy and you suddenly prone the first thing out there is your head, so the one shot kills can easily be attributed to that...

                            Re: hacked

Older-OMO, The first 2 shots killed me in the APC. After the first shot hit me, I may have moved too far away from my friend, we were both engies. 3rd shot hit him, 4th came on him and the 5th killed him. I saw the shots coming in high from that direction which matched the UAV and I know what it is like to be hit by a tank round. After the first hit and I moved, I saw the killshot on me come in out of the fog. It was the third shot that convinced me he was no-fog hacking because maybe, just maybe, he followed my nametag from way up there. But no way does he switch targets from that impossible distance and get another 3 direct hits. Even if the commander is spotting, that just doesn't happen.

I would challenge anyone to go on an empty server and in 20 shots from that ramp you would not be able to hit the vod that spawns at the cement factory unless someone was there telling you how close each shot got and where to adjust. This guy had 5 direct hits in a row on 2 seperate targets from an impossible distance.

De-nile is not just a river in Egypt. What I am saying is, I have seen this kind of thing dozens of times and I'm not a nubile idiot.
