In other words, no more expansions/boosters. 2142 is coming, and they don't have much time left to screw it up.

One more hotfix i.e. 1.31, no more patches, no more anything BF2...

Yes, the question was if there were going to be any booster packs/expansions, which implies something by EA. He didn't mention Mods.

I would like to see an Australian Defence Force booster.

The ADF is basically becoming a mini USMC, with M1A2 tanks coming soon, along with couple of amphibious landing craft (similar to the USS Boxer), F/A-18 and F-111 jets, ASLAV Apc's etc.
The RAAF is in partnership with the US Govt developing the JSF.
Our SAS use a combination of US and German made weaponary, along side our Army that uses the F88 Austrian STEYR assault rifle.
The first Tiger Attack choppers have been handed over to our army pilots as well.
The only thing the ADF lacks is mobile A/A, whereras we rely on portable (trailered) Rapier missle batteries.

Would be cool, with potential enemys being China (buggers want our uranium and gas), Indonesia (opposed to our Western democratic political and social system) and Nth Korea( lets face it, who likes them???)

As I said, would be cool, but in reality not going to happen.

I can see an Iraeli forces booster happening though.......

Last I heard our tank was broken, our chopper's couldnt get off the ground and our styer's had the tendency to shoot Aussie's rather than the enemy.

Grab the Aussie mod, it's not bad, but it not all finished yet.

They should make a patch where SF is a real expanstion instead of a whole new game...some what like all the boosters packs are...just think, a map list like

I'm guessing its more likely that there will be atleast 2 more booster instead of 1 whole expansion, but here is hoping. So what do you think the next big BF2 expansion would be if there is one before 2142 kills our beloved (or atleast bittersweet) BF2.

The next release from EA/Dice will be BF2142, they are done with BF2.

mec and pla forces have taken over northern america and only bites of risistance are left, the british SAS being the most superb soilders in the world are sent to america to destroy the mec and PLA's lines of supply, they then recruit the local
american farmers and little risistance that is left, train them in sobatage and expert combat, and slowly push the MEC AND PLA out of america!

nope, i think there will be no more boosters....BUT if there were, it should be the battle for antarctica, sweet snow camo, igloos, and man eating polar bears and the occasional booby.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but in some interviews didn't they mention that 1.4 is most likely the last patch?

Well someone in another forum posted a server they found on qtracker that was a new version of BF2 running a map called Jalalabad and it was an infantry map. So who knows.

Most likely, there won't be any more BF2 Booster packs or expansions. Outside of patches and gameplay issues, the people at DiCE have devoted their full time and effort into making sure that BF2142 is able to ship out for the Holiday season.

Sigh... two different branches of DICE working on BF2/2142 respectively. The guys working on BF2 have little to nothing to do with the guys working on 2142.
