What are the bets there will be another expansion?

I'm guessing its more likely that there will be atleast 2 more booster instead of 1 whole expansion, but here is hoping. So what do you think the next big BF2 expansion would be if there is one before 2142 kills our beloved (or atleast bittersweet) BF2.

BF2: Forgotten Battles of WWII: Nothing like the classics and nothing says classics better then killing some Nazis or ripping a Zero apart with your Mustang fighter. Just imagian it with the BF2 engine, but it might just kill you last happy memories of BF1942.

BF2: European Assualt: MEC and PLA forces driving into America, now the assualt begins on thier allies. Including new armies like the EDF (European Defence Force) and the Brithish Royal Navy (Her Majesty's Marines) or the return of the European Union Army and Special Forces and new ranks (euro style).

Most likely, there won't be any more BF2 Booster packs or expansions. Outside of patches and gameplay issues, the people at DiCE have devoted their full time and effort into making sure that BF2142 is able to ship out for the Holiday season.

I would like to see an Australian Defence Force booster.

The ADF is basically becoming a mini USMC, with M1A2 tanks coming soon, along with couple of amphibious landing craft (similar to the USS Boxer), F/A-18 and F-111 jets, ASLAV Apc's etc.
The RAAF is in partnership with the US Govt developing the JSF.
Our SAS use a combination of US and German made weaponary, along side our Army that uses the F88 Austrian STEYR assault rifle.
The first Tiger Attack choppers have been handed over to our army pilots as well.
The only thing the ADF lacks is mobile A/A, whereras we rely on portable (trailered) Rapier missle batteries.

Would be cool, with potential enemys being China (buggers want our uranium and gas), Indonesia (opposed to our Western democratic political and social system) and Nth Korea( lets face it, who likes them???)

As I said, would be cool, but in reality not going to happen.

I can see an Iraeli forces booster happening though.......

I doubt either have enough of a market to be viable. The amount of BF2 players in Israel and Australia probably doesnt add up to a great deal in comparison to Europe/US.

I'd guess that the next expansion would follow the format of Armored Fury. It's been received a lot better than EF was and for a lot less hassle for DICE, involving only a few new vehicles and new maps rather than a whole new army as well. So it makes sense that a new booster pack would just be a couple more vehicles and maps again, it is less hassle and will probably make more money if AF is anything to go by. I hope they go for something a bit more urban this time though, other than the 'US maps', which has now been fulfilled, this is probably the most popular and therefore most profitable area.

The Canadian Front.
MEC and PLA forces push through the artic circle in an attempt to come down into America. Canada is caught in the middle and forced to deploy it's highly mobile and well trained troops in a series of disruptive counter attacks.
Features: Artic terrain, vehicles, and cammo. Maps that focus on the strength of mobile infantry. Over use of the term "eh?".

Edit: One map could involve a particularly deep strike that manages to reach the offices of Dice Canada!

EA would release BF2: Attack on Smurf Land or BF2: The Teletubbie Attack if they thought it was going to make them money, im sure they're at least thinking about releasing more

I would be all for that tbh

But my guess is they will either keep making boosters as long as there is a reasonable group of people still playing BF2 (its all about the money), or they will force feed us BF2142. But the success of BF2142 will depend on how well EA/DICE will sort out the problems of BF2 atm. I for one will not buy BF2142 if the bugs in BF2 arenr fixed.

i would love to see an expansion with sea battles. Just like the midway level on bf1942. destroyers, aircraft carriers, battleships and submarines. that would be awsome. it's the primary reason for me to play bf1942 now.
