Check out the following two EA servers:

They're running a new version of BF2 (1.1.2887-719.0) and they're also running a new map (Road To Jalalabad).

New booster pack? New expansion pack? A freebie? ...

testing the hotfix? maybe something included but isnt like EA to be doing what majority of other makers do in multiplayer games

I wonder how many of these maps are actually a year old and they just never made it into the Vanilla version. Often, I felt that the maps in SF were leftovers that had not been tightened up/optimized for the initial release. Or they felt they would need content later, so they held off on releasing maps.

Giving a free map does not forgive the fact that they are giving us patches that are crap

I never had 1 problem with all the patches up untill 1.3 and now i am very very lucky if i can play a game

EA f.u.c.k.e.d up with that last patch and it has cost them a customer for 2142.
Quake wars will get my time and money this time around

If it was DICE Canada doing the testing like it says in this thread at the EA forums, then maybe it's an SF map?

Someone also mentions the server variable bf2_infantryonly, but I don't see that anywhere in gamemonitor.
