Have any of you played USI? It kicks the crap out of this AF bull crap.

I like it alot worth the money...hate that the planes dont have after burners.
You know, I really dont get some of you. You can get better models and skins, better sounds, better weapon effects for free, but you would rather pay 10 bucks for a half assed pos.

We know you love your mod, but we like the functionality of the ranking system EA has in place for BF2 and its various "House Mods". BF2: AF is an excellent addition and worth the $10. Im really sorry your USI servers dont have as many people in them as you wish they did.

I'm not knocking your beloved mod, but I've had nothing but poor experiences with mods. And AF is not crap, the maps are awesome and the new aircraft are pretty enjoyable. +, there "servers" to play on:p

As for the afterburner issue, turbine-engined jets will ahve afterburner when rotary wing aircraft have treads

For us adults in the crowd, is cawk good or bad? Or did you go to an inner city school.

Sort of off topic, but I just hope Dice adds a lot of extra physics (of whichever flavor) to 2142 so that it has some extra dimensions. I haven't tried AF yet but are those haybales impervious to tank shells? It's 2006 for goodness sakes, and the age of Crossfire, SLI, uber GPU's, and 6Mbps broadband. When will a tank shell rip open a house and shatter trees? If I can drive a jeep through my garage door IRL, why not a game? Bullets in vanila BF2 kills me behind tin sheeting, so what's the problem? The games are nice enough, but very limiting as they are now.

WTF, USI isnt my mod....The USI mod team has custom titles that say so smart guys.

You can tell the BF community is populated by a bunch of noobs now, thanks to that damn ranking system. Gone are the days of endless hours of playing kick ass mods for 42 and BFV. Now we have to settle for half assed mods that cost money!

Haha, you got to love those little white fences and barb wires fences stopping a huge tank.... Drives me crazy

Oh get off it. People still play the mods, the people who are really in the community do. You expect an average player to look for and play mods?

If people are paying for what is OBVIOUSLY lower quality, than the community is doomed. We went from the best game/mod I've ever played (DC), which spawned BF2, but now we are going backwards and people are willing to pay for what is a cheap knockoff of the real thing. For what, rank? Why does anyone give a crap about the damn ranking system anyway?

I loved DC, don't get me wrong, but the whole point of mods is they're something new. AF is also something new. AF is just a mod I payed for, IMO, and it was only $10 so I was ok with that.

I'm not saying it's better or worse than any mod, just saying it's another option.

                              You can't fault his logic
Whatever about buying the thing but when people are actually bashing superior mods in favour of inferior priced products well that is a sad indictment of any community
                              the bf2 community fails

Go look at POE2 website and the amazeing quality of every vehicle and thats free! How can you justify paying 10 bucks for flat, grey skin that is lacking any sort of detail. Sure, the maps are a lot of fun but since when do we pay money for new maps?!

Have you played AF? Don't spew crap if you haven't even made a fair comparison.
Unfortunately I did buy it, but only because I need it for the tourny I play in.
