    Should heal packs self heal?

Im thinking this cause its a common complaint, well common to us 30% of Bf2 that arent the run of the mill bouncy medics. Yes we have all encountered, or have joined in the "toss a med pack or 2 down and hop around the area spraying"..

I got this really in my mind today after encountering from a distance a Medic.
Me packing a G3, which is farly underpowered as opposed to the AK101 (3pts diff., come on!!) and the PKM (5 pts diff OMG!!11).
So me and my G3 are in a fire fight with a rival medic perched behind a planter or some object..we exchange fire..except..
I have no nades..he does..I have no self heals..he does..
So needless to say after feeling the blows of some well placed shots and some nade spalsh..I was dead..
Now I know I hit him..alot..and I know he was in a sea of his own med bags..
    which is sickening..

So how does that stack up to being equal..how does the medic class not rank as being the true assualt class? You add in 2-3 excellent guns and self heals and you have a true CQC warrior..
Id trade all the body armor in the world for self heals and increased accuracy..

yeah.....self medic/healing, self ammo'ing and self repairing, is lame, and shouldnt be in the game. If your a medic/supply/engy and need your special powers..........then you must get them from another one, like everyone else.

    Simple.

Then play medic, you mention the G3 so if you're assault then you have nades too. The G3 > anything the medic has for a weapon.

I'ts perfectly fine the way it is.

Your problem is that you were going against a medic one on one. This is a team game, you are supposed to play together as a team. Your complain comes from a one v one problem. This isn't HL2.

Learn to play with your squad.

HOLY cow your post is about BUllSh8T..........

You say this is a team game...and basically because its a team game UNDER no circumstance are you SUPPOSED to go 1 versus 1 against a medic.

Thats completely mental. Your mixed up dude, the problem isnt because he is going against a medic one on one.....its because every time the dipsh8t medic takes legit, bonofide, gonna die next shot, bullet, he self medics himself.
          Dude.......thats not even right man.......think.

Boo hoo. If you were any good you'd see the medic packs or realise that he must have them. Why don't you try a different approach to killing him instead of whining about it. Maybe try and go around him so he doesn't have any cover. You dont have to stand in that one place.

No way does that mean the game is unbalanced or gives him an unfair advantage.

It's the way the game is played, get used to it. Adapt to it!

Yes, if you think and stay with your team and play with them, you should never end up in a one on one. Sure, they might be able to get you down, but your teammates will be there to pick you up.

I take down medics all the time as a PKM. I have a positive K to D raito pretty much every game I play. You are overreacting to one situation where a medic got you down and acting like this happens in every fight with a medic. If a medic goes to pull out a bag in the middle of a firefight with you, if you can't take him out before he drops a pack and it "triggers" then, frankly, you suck.

Oh lordy. . . nice exaggeration.

If you are a medic and you drop a pack for yourself and lay on it, it is only gives you ONE extra hit for the second you lose any health, it picks it up and it wasted.

If the medic is running around so he can pick up multiple packs, his aim will be terrible and if you can't drop him AGAIN your aim sucks.

If the medic has enough time to go from paddles out to gun out and still kill you kudos to him. Whats he supposed to do just roll over and die without a fight? 2 clips and you couldnt kill him.Thats 40 bullets. I've wasted 3-4 guys with 20 bullets from my g3.

C'mon guys, what other fps games do you know of where players get infinite health packs and can toss them on the ground when they're getting owned? Doesn't that strike anyone as being even slightly unfair? I've been in situations as a medic where I could have died atleast 4 times yet I had plenty of health packs to keep me going. I could have healed four other players instead of myself. For the people that say use teamplay to take down the medics, aren't the medics that do this eschewing teamplay themselves? Or am I missing something that the holier than thou idiots that love exploits should clue me in on? The best way to balance this would be for medics to get bandaged up by other medics, not themselves. Same goes for support guys that throw themselves ammo to spam more nades.

Umm, the assault kit comes with nades if you use the G3.
