Please Help Support the PROTEST!!!..

This is my post on the EA BF2 forum, and includes some posts from EAUK BF2 forum, Total BF2 is my favorite fan site, so I am hoping I can find others to help see things the way I do.

Most of you have never heard the name Vexar, well let me tell my story, I am the original fan boy for the BF franchise, I used to work at EA for 7 years, and helped get BF1942 into EA. I loved the game since I first played Code Name Eagle and the prototype for 1942. I loved and played 1942, DC for a few clans, was a designer on Medal of Honor for PC. I am a very hardcore PC FPS player. I am only saying this so people do not lump me in with the other people that are upset at the way EA is handling this game. This game means a lot to me personally, and I do not say that lightly.

I'm gonna buy that new mod BF2142.. Since it's running on the same bF2 Engine.. This time I'm gonna medic whore all the way since it in the end will bring crappy patches and no support to the game.. Way to go EA Gaymes.. I still love BF2 in some way but some glitches&bugs really annoy me..

I will wait, they are going to end up giving them away here in the next few months, the server sales have been dropping along with the player base. After QW: ET I expect to watch the 8-16k worth of players to drop down to 4-8k, once they drop down they will be giving away the pack in the hopes that it will get the public to give them another chance, this includes the 2142 full retail game mind you, which from my experince during e3 was a poor mod done to people think twice about purchasing ET.

If want to watch the trend check www.gamespy.com/stats often, I have been tracking since the demo was out the first weekend.

Almost 4 am here, so I will continue this waste of my time tomorrow!

well similar with a few exceptions it will be proberly the last Online FPS from EA, but i will continue on buying the RTS's and some of the SP based FPS but not totally stopping all,,

and for the luv of christ stop with the neverending protests :blabla:

Forget C&C3 if that's the RTS you were thinking of, have a look at Supreme Commander, the maps are huge and there's real nukes, none of those pansy C&C type nukes.

Well I'm not buying AF, because I'm not done with SF or EF yet. I still enjoy those two packs so I don't feel the urge to buy another one. ;p

Lots of BF2 fanboys in that forum, not so much here. I was never going to buy AF in the first place. As for 2142 I will say no thanks. Quakewars is going to be better Im sure.

Don't get me started on the C&C franchise, they got rid almost everyone that worked on the game when they merged the studios together into EALA. I wish everyone could see how horrible EA treats its people, you would never buy anything from them again. I loved C&C it's dead to me. QW's was good at E3, 2142 wasn't, QW's seems to be getting the proper amount of testing, so I have hope right now that it's going to be great!

Vexar I can hear you but you're posting to the average 14 old who can hardly spell 'protest'. So don't expect too much enthusiasm. The kids get a new game and either they like it or they bug their parents for a new one.
good luck teaching them foreign words like 'consumer rights' or 'quality assurance' ...

I cant say I liked C&C Generals, the C&C, C&C:RA and C&C:TB were good but it went down hill from there imo.

I can get you to buy SC no problem.

We can all agree that EA has completely ****ed up the game with the buggy patches. Its an endless amount of issues. Yet we all continue to play. We simply deal with it even though it ****es a majority of us off. I'll give them my money for Armored Fury but it stops there. I hope others do the same aswell. Armored Fury from the screens I have seen make this Booster Pack look very promising. How it plays? Only a select few know (leak) and they have had very positive comments. As far as 2142 goes, no matter how "pretty" the screenshots look and videos play, I have zero intrest in the game.

I'd seriously laugh my ass off if EA completely dropped 2142 if enough people posted a lack of intrest in the game. :)

Look at it this way, 2142 comes out, you can kiss support for BF2 goodbye! 2142 will be the new flagship game and EA/DICE could careless about BF2. Its already broke beyond repair and why bother listening to a "bitchy" community.
