Your most overrated and underrated maps

Overrated: Dalian Plant
Underrated: Zater Wetlands

Zater should be played much more, flat out fun open combat, and infantry stand a chance. I guess the only reason why it isn't played that often is because it is so umbalanced, because USMC get 2 airfields.

yes i played wake the most but normally thats because the low ping servers i play on are wake only. Zatar, i personally hate and wish it were removed.

BTW: Zatar sucks... It takes 11tybillion minutes to get anywhere, because there's hardly any transports (haven't played since 1.3...) and when you finally get to a flag, usually the middle one... it's littered with APC's and enemy troops... because the troops can't get anywhere either; and as soon as you neutralize a flag you get bombed... it sucks.

I agree with Boots points too. I stopped attacking the middle flag and go around it to the others. And usually leave the middle attacked via either side thanku
11tybillion km to walk. Doesn't seem so far when your amazingly surprising commander stops cartillery to help you out.
Zatar is nice and big and leaves Jets too much to choose from :)

Overrated: Wake
Underrated: Dragon Valley

Dragon Valley is my favourite, works for every kit and vechile and I am never bothered by Jets
Wake I hate, since I never fly. Not about to start as I doubt I will ever make it to a plane and then be ridiculed for not being an amazing pilot. So, as a troop, I'm either bombed or hit by missiles, or sniped. Sniper kit is the only kit I will bother using as I have never been in a squad that users teamwork on this map. So play sniper and hopefully pull off some headshots>
Limited NZ servers that offer 0 ping, 3 actually. 1 is karkand only, another is Large Maps, and another is Favourite Map (Wake). yawn. gimme karkand

Over rated for me would have to be Strike At Karkand, mainly due to a burn out on it - it is ok in moderation but when its every second or third map in rotation it starts to be a pain.

Under rated is definitely Songhua Stalemate, I love that level even though I have been on it very little, the possibilities and tactics in it are awesome, plus its even good for the Chinese Infantry with their AK-47s due to the mist present, making it quite a close range fight with plenty of places to hide from the APCs.

Most underrated map for me is SF Warlord. No air, minimal armour. The assualt on the building at the top of the map is a work of gamedesign genius.

karkand may be over-played but judging from the amazing number of servers playing it, it isnt over-rated.

Its the infantry-style map that most players want.

Yeah, Warlord is nice... Palace assaults are really, really fun... especially when it's 32v32 in there. It's basically teh Karkand of SF. The RPGs are a nice Switch from SRAW's/ERYX's... because you can run around a corner after firing, I feel like such a skinny when I play with these things (Think BH Down) but they're pretty accurate once you zoom in.

The damn dust maps just turn me away anymore. I mean I have most of my hours on Karkand but as someone else said I suffer from map-burn out on there... it's always the same old sh1t; similar scenarios over and over again.

I just started playing in servers with all teh SF maps in rotation (night maps usually get taken out - and I usually spend my time on Ghost/Warlord/Surge/Mass), there's a good 64 player server thats usually populated, I think its the Old Bastards Clan's server. Levithan is nice with teh chopper... fighting inside the subs are nice, and the Forklift is always a fun vehicle to use.. excellent turning radius, really quiet and really funny. I also get hella points m24ing it up on night maps.

Someone else listend Songha. I agree with it's underratedness. Sometimes the long hilly roads get annoying when you're going to cap, but otherwise theres not really any downsides to this map. I thorougly enjoy running through the foggy forests with my SRAW/ERYX and capping flags, and you can really keep the other team down if you BH whore/cap, like on Matshuur.
