It's so lame now that most servers ban on swearing and **** like that! Why in a real war people swear all the time! GGGrrr, Just think of it as "tough love" for all the young players. They will have to harden up and listen to bad language sometimes in their life!

Whilst I agree with you on the anti censorship, I have no problem with the ****'s I know whats meant to be there... and Im sure it would cause more hassle without it .... is it a PB thing? Same on AA if i remeber correctly :).
Saying that - BF2 does have a 16+ rating (In the UK anyway), so I think it is pretty stupid the * out swaering etc etc considering at that age, I can have a baby and kill ppl, Im sure I can cope with the odd four letter word beginning with f :)
It's M15+ in NZ. Which means Mature 15 year old and over. But that's mainly a guideline for what the game age group was intended for. Anyone can pick it up. Actually $100 full battlefield game or Free downloadable Postal 2 demo.. what kid has $100.

Imagine if you had a beep on your mic for swearing, how weird. I was commander on karkand as MEC defending hotel. I set an arty on the east road where they had 2 apcs and a tank and a few infantry spawn killing. Have abit of a wait.. then boom. Killed 11people with arty. Then I get this high pitch f*uck you commander from this brat still hanging out there hahaha
Its lame and should be taken away, its to protect the 12 year olds. Swearing's life if someone by the age of 15-16 doesn't know the book of swear words then they have been isolated from life. But it's weird I have played on 18+ clan servers who recrute 18 years or older and if you say fu.ck then you get kick/ban auto.
People are still feeling offended by reading or hearing perticular words that are not intended to offend, or ever even aimed at them. Alas getting told off on a bus by an old lady yesterday when I sat on a pin and yelled AH! ... fuc**!K!K!

That's something you have to sort out with the clan mate..
strewth, there was a time when saying damn, bugger, bloody, strewth, and anything other than thee thy thou thumb was considered cursing...
People need to accept that it is a part of life.
HOWEVER, i do think its best avoided as a general rule, especially in public (fakesound..:p) and i think there are words which are simply too crass to be heard in public - ie starts with c and ends with t... even fcuk to an extent.
I hate to be the one to say this, because I hate when it's said to me But. Find another server, or put up the $$$ to rent your own. Complaining about something you have no control over is pointless, right.
Alot of times clans that advertise for 18+ members already have members in there 20's - 30's. Like the clan I'm in, we have guys who are in there 40's whose 11-15 year old kids sometimes get on and play with us. Sometimes the odd F-bomb flys out, but for the most part it's alot of Fun. I find I don't get as worked up when I'm in the company of children, though at the sametime It's hard to get into the Zone(if you know what I mean), because you have to watch out for the youngsters, but it's all good.
If you have nothing better to say than '****' or '******', you're just displaying your ignorance (especially on the latter.. if anybody says something such as 'u ******' or 'ur so gay' on a server I am on, I will promptly tell them that they are morons)
but when it is directed at another player or is racist you can be kicked or banned..
