You want BF2 planes to be even more arcadish and destructive?

I have to agree with him, that doesnt look like very realistic flgith dynamics, its just larger maps so u have space to do those manouvers. Plus the effects in that game look very bad, especially something for X-box 360. Those planes dont have real flight dynamics, if you want real/close to real flight dynamics fly flight simulators like i do.

Dude, I've got LockOn... please please pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee give me a hand learning that sim. I just got it a few weeks ago, but it's really hard to learn (for a beginner)... all I can do is fly straight, turn and shoot random shots! lol

Would you be up for giving some tuts?

heh...welcome to the flightsim world.

Do NOT buy the game and expect to hop right in and be blasting the foe out of the sky. It took me months to get the hang of a single aircraft type, and as of now, I still havn't even got to the Su-25 Series yet!

You really need to take the time to go through the Training tracks that come with the game. They have text and audio voice overs that acompany the instructor flying the aircraft by the book for you. Just watch and learn. In addition, take the time to read the manual, when you're on the toilet, or when you're bored, it's actually lots of fun. :)

One site that is exceptionally helpful is this:

It has training tutorials like the ones in the game, but come ALL with Audio-voice overs and more detailed, yet newbiefied explanations.

I agree with D|sso. The fighting/dynamics weren't that great . Then again, neither were the graphics, especially for X360 . . . Just point and laugh , , , point and laugh.

Yeh, I knew it was gonna be hard. When I run the sim, I was like ****! and WOW at the same time lol.

All the buttons to remember, all the names, functions, guns, shortcuts and what ot I thought, daaaaaaaaamn - will I ever learn this?! lol

But I really wanna learn, developed a great love for jets/flying after playing BF2 heh :)

I know it's possible to play online, but, do you need to patch the game? I've read somewhere that you need to patch to be able to play online. I've got Lock On and the Flaming Cliffs add-on.

Great! Was going to recommend getting Flaming Cliffs, happy to see that you're actually willing to learn and looking forward to the curve!

If you want to play online, do not use the ubisoft lobby that comes with the game.

Download and use Hyperlobby. That's where most go! Servers are always up, and fella's are always in! Most servers run on ace settings though, so don't get frustrated if you get rolled.

Most people don't acknowledge the fun that you get out of knowing each and every dial and guage, system, and tactic of your fighter. When you're in a mission and can actually employ it to accomplish your objective, it really is satisfying.
