got banned for saying 'noob'

Ok so i'm in this 24/7 karkand server playing a very fair game. I respawn at the train incident and I get spawn killed immediatly. I think ok, maybes he was trying to take the flag, so I respawn again only to be killed immediatly. I then check the map and notice him and his buddy are positioned right behind the spawn point pkm's at the ready.
I then proceeded to call him a noob and try and get points the fair way etc etc. I was then kicked and banned from the server for saying the word noob. How lame is that.

As it stands, it sounds more like you were booted for whining than using any particular word. You could have simply respawned someplace else. Camping spawn points is consitered fair play by most folks out there.

Complain less, think more, have fun.

As it stands, it sounds more like you were booted for whining than using any particular word. You could have simply respawned someplace else. Camping spawn points is consitered fair play by most folks out there.

I was booted by punkbuster which gave the reason i said 'noob'. They must have it as a naughty word so if anyone says it they get kicked.

Dude! I got kicked from a damn German server for saying "F*ck"

I find that pathetic. I mean, almost everyone use the word in everyday conversations without realising it. I know i do.

I got booted from a German server for saying the word "difficult". No joke. I was playing BF1918 (relic airplane mod) I think, and said "Wow. This is quite difficult huh?" and at the top of the screen I see "Jofaba, your language is unacceptable. Please clean it up." So I say "What? What language? I didn't say anything wrong. Which word was it?" Then decided to test by breaking the sentence up into sections.

"Wow this is"

nothing.

"quite difficult."

Jofaba, your language is unacceptable. Please clean it up.

"Difficult".

You have been kicked by punkbuster for using the word "./" it didnt say the word.

Swearing versus saying words like Noob is a little different...pretty funny though that Noob and Difficult are words you cannot say...LOL

It depends on the server that allows the bad words, I known a server that is not allowed to say: noob, *****, wtf, wth, wtd, crap, lmfao and many others

I've sometimes thought that we should put noob on the word filter here. Just to force people to be a little more creative in their insults. Add gay too.
