I installed BF2 + BF2 Special I force + 2 Patch 1,41 and when I go to play battlefield special you force click in Join Server and he leaves for windows. I do not understand this problem.

did what was said above but when i downloaded 1.41 again, after 5 hours, it said the file was corrupted...do i have to uninstall the whole game?

I'm already taking 4hours trying to fix my BF2 plus SF...Yesterday I installed SF for the first time, the installation gone well but when I run the game I get the Shaders error just as to many people here...I found the solution (one of them) and I uninstalled everything related to BF and mods manually. Then I started a fresh installation. BF2 were OK, but when I tried to reinstall SF pack my installation started to crash to the desktop without any error message just after the BF2 splash screen and Installshield preparation...

I already refreshed the registry
I cleaned temp
I reinstalled and updated InstallShield
I reinstalled BF2
I rebooted my pc several times...(very original..)

The most weird thing is that yesterday the same installation were working perfectly...today don't.
Help please! Thanks in advance.

Update
I changed Win XP system (other partition) and instalation works...but the game crashes in the first black screen...BF2 and BF2 SF...none of them work...argh....when I patch it to 1.41 it still not workin...

Same F*** problem. Singleplayer works, multiplayer don't connect to server, just don't connect without writing a word )

Patch 1.41 Done.

Apparently, a lot of people have had problems with installing Special Forces after the 1.3 update. Here's what I did to fix it.

If you get the "syncronize shaders/lighting.fx not found" issue, then you'll need to copy the following files:

Copy all of the files from:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\shaders_client
to:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\shaders

and

Copy all of the files from:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\xpack\shaders_client
to:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\xpack\shaders

After you have copied the files, install the FULL 1.41 patch, as the SF install will remain at version 1.1, even though your vanilla BF2 will be up to date. This will prevent you from receiving a modded map error when you try to load one of the SF maps.

I installed bf2->1.41->sf(then I had the same error)->boosterpacks->1.41 again and it was gone.

I downloaded the file and just moved it to my SF folder.

wot r you goin on about 1.3 patch, bf2 is upto 1.41 patch, all i want to do is play on bf2 not sf, when i try to load NORMAL bf2 it says shaders lighting fx not found, ive uninstaaled every bf2 file n mod on the computer n reinstalled bf2 n 1.41patch n nothing changes, its a nitemare dunno wot to do , any suggestions.

hurmm.... I had troubles patching at first, but I just went into the registry and fixed it manually. It let me patch, then I went to go into the game then got, "the message"


And now, I'm trying to re-install the 1.41 full patch and I'm getting the ****ing patching failed message again! I'm getting the run around...


The registry is still fixed also! I'm in a corner!:shakehead:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\xpack\shaders_client
and I found this error: "error ept0032: Failure Setting File's Time/Date Stamp" in the bf2 patch text doc in D:\GAMES\bf2 file.......
