i don't think there should be a lock on it. i think that it shouldnt let you take a tank or vehicle while it's being repaired. as soon as you put your wrench away it can be used. that's my opinion. i don't see anything like this being implemented though.

The WORST thing is when you drive up a Hummer or Vod from behind an enemy attack, you see an enemy squad move out in the open in front of you, advancing toward your flag, you begin to open up with the .50, and out of nowhere a friendly player comes up, jumps in the driver's seat, and drives off. There is nothing more aggravating, believe me.:cussing: :cry:

Yeah I really hate this ****. Man, the amount of things one can do to tick someone off in this game is just absolutly amazing. I'd love to see some joker pull this **** at a LAN game. I will make national headlines...

Thats why, if I'm a spec ops I will always C4 my own vehicle. If I have to get out for whatever reason, I'm prepared to blow my ride to kingdom come.

If I'm a gunner and someone gets in and drives off, I simply debuss and hit the detonate button.

Good idea, it would serve him right. But then you get punished for a TK and don't get any easy kills.

The guy who drives off "your" vehicle usually has a good reason to do it, but just doesn't see the easy targets in front. When a gunner is shooting, nobody should drive off a vehicle. The fact that the gunner is shooting is a good indication that there are targets ahead. Whenever I am driver and I hear my gunner go at it, I try to slow down or stop. Heck, I get an assist out of it. :)

True. Works if you're parking your ride up when you take a little peeky-boo on foot to see where the enemy is and Mr Enemy gets into your parked ride and then drives off - thinking he's "tha sh!t" for getting a free ride until...

I hate it when I fall for that one. The other day I was in a losing battle by the BH respawn site in Maashtur, I believe. We were losing because the enemy squad was respawning and coming at us fast, they had vehicles with gunners positioned around the buliding. So I ran behind to the BH and dropped three C4 into it then I went a little ways away and lay down. I guess nobody saw me. The place was crawling with enemy soldiers. One was the gunner position of a Hummer next to the BH. Sure enough, a pair got into the BH and flew off. I should have waited longer, but I didn't. I blew the BH and took out the Hummer gunner with a couple of headshots. I made it to the Hummer, but by that time everybody had respawned and was firing at me. I got one or two more kills, but my Hummer didn't last long. Needless to say, it was a fun twenty seconds.

I hate it when those things happen to me, what I always do is become a squad leader. One of my squad members are in the gunner position and is an engineer, let him get out and do all the work.

This is another reason I like APCs, because I can drive far away quite quickly. and I have gotten in the habit of watching for friendlies around my armour while I repair it.

Though to be honest, at this point i've had as many people steal vehicles, as ones that sit in it, or take over the drivers seat, and then get out once I'm done repairing. much like in life there are good seeds and bad seeds.

Though to be honest, at this point i've had as many people steal vehicles, as ones that sit in it, or take over the drivers seat, and then get out once I'm done repairing. much like in life there are good seeds and bad seeds.

If I see a friendly repairing his tank, and I see a tank or enemy soldier coming at him to destroy or steal the tank (which the owner usually doesn't see because he is repairing his tank), I will jump in the tank shoot the enemy and then leave the tank to its original owner, rather than let the enemy take it or destroy it.

Assume anyone coming near your tank is trying to steal it, and get in before they get too close, even if it means you leave 3 bars unrepaired.

That's quite lame. Definitly calls for a tk.

I would have tk him 2/3 times and when he says something like 'admin please ban xxx for tk' I would say, 'sorry it was an accident'. Then i would jump in a hummer and run him over as soon as he respawns.

If you get a permanent server ban send an email to the admin saying he was appearing in red and you thought he was spawn camping etc etc.

Somewhat related...I will often be Spec Ops in an APC. That thing is a troop magnet and a troop killer. I C4 on all sides, then when I get damaged heavily, I jump out, and if I know I can survive for a few minutes, I try to get to a hiding place. If I can't I just blow it, usually resulting in a few kills.

When I want to do a Jihad Jeep (unethical I know) I clearly let people see I am putting C4 on it. If they jump in, I tell them to get out or I WILL blow it, over VoIP if possible. If they still don't, I don't hesitate, they saw me plaster the stuff on and all, they deserve a TK for riding on a bomb like that. I just click. Or when I tell someone that a jeep is loaded with C4, they hop in anyway. I just stand still then till they leave.

Nothing annoys me more than punishing for TKs when they were standing on top of my C4 or claymore when it blew.

I don't think Jihad Jeeps are unethical. Any friendly who gets in a Jihad jeep should know to bail when it starts speeding balls-out hell bent at an enemy APC or Tank.

I sometimes just jump in Jihand jeeps for a ride, I know it's a risk. Sometimes they just want a quick ride a short distance and know ur going to suicide so they won't stay in. Just blow em up if they do.
