Practice, patience, and the willingness to keep on trying over and over and over...

Umm, the lower you fly the slower you fly. At 500 Feet you can reach 2k MPH by using afterburners. At 900, its ~3.5k.

Yea, but there is no fun in flying at 900 feet, no obstacles to fly around.

I like flying under bridges, between cranes, past buildings, and I LOVE FLYING THROUGH KUBRA. There are tons of holes you can fit through with some practice

You're at about 800... the hit afterburners and dive down to about 10 feet, flying around mountains, all the curvy places, with afterburner on, dude, it's awsome!

                Practice pratice..

Thesedays I just drop bombs from ~300 meters up. it's pretty satisfying to see the kill message pop up 5 secs later

Kubra Dam is my favourite map thesedays

Bacova & Roterbaron were decent pilots, hence the four deaths. ashame though

yea it's all experience. Everyone including myself sucked the first flight. As you learn the maps, aircraft, and the physics of how to make precise bombing runs you get good. If you wanna get good just go into empty and servers and screw around taking out vacant tanks and so on. Air to Air combat is another story. You'll have to crash and burn alot before you can get good at that.

Re: Airplanes.. how are the pilots so accurate?

I dont use any program to be "Precise"

I try to be mentally ahead of the plane. For example a fellow squad member might say on ventrillo at Oman "Tank at Construction coming from thier default"

Hearing that as a bomber pilot I grow fangs and become vaguely excited at a chance of a hard kill.

My mind calls up the image of construction and I check the GPS while on the way there with bombs ready. If I have it on GPS before I actually see the tank, I should already have the plane in it's final attack dive when the tank itself comes into view.

There should be no friendlys near the tank. Sometimes they are close to the target when I release and I just write em off as collateral damage. What matters is destroy the tank. Nothing else matters.

The tanker may be coming up the road driving into Construction and listening to the Beatle Boys but he is unaware of the activity taking place against him until the bombs strike him and destroy the tank killing him and anyone else near by.

The next problem will be to escape the "Scene of the crime" evade airdefenses and honor any threats from enemy aircraft on way back to carrier to reload.

Eventually after several flights it all becomes routine that it gets done without any need for me to think about what I need to do. It just gets done automatically with only one problem of how much to move the joystick.

the whole secret to bombing tanks etc is to predict were they will be at the moment you drop 'em,, it's all practice, & not as easy as some would lead you to believe..

I used to think that too, now i think there too slow and i want them to be given a speed boost. Funny really, it's just something that you get used to, then get annoyed at...then realise you can do alot of crazy **** because the planes are so manuverable. :P

Also, don't fly to close to the ground, or at too low of an alititude, things will always seem much faster the closer you are to the ground. Besides bombing isn't really effective against armoured vehicles when going in at a very acute angle. Great for taking out infantry though.

Having maximum view distance + using your minimap to navigate (set it to follow player instead of static) helps out alot too.
