I did. On Karkand, MEC can drop Vodiks and it easily destroies artillery faster than I can repair them. By the time I get the artillery to 1% health, there's another car and I have to wait for my repair bar that's at 0%.

I wonder if people think I'm stat padding because I'm sitting there repairing the assets? 934 repair points...only 66 left :-)

I think this whole air-drop vehicle thing is screwd... Everyone missuses it, like dropping it on enemy choppers, on roofs etc...

How to annoy a b^stard doing cartillery on you're artillery (using own example):

had a guy cartillery our artillery on Karkand. if you look at the big map it was the left US one, by that big buidling with a yard.

Anyway, he did it, then when our commander dropped supplies to fix the artillery, he dropped another vodnik. It destroyed the supplies, but it wasn't killed so I took the vodnik and spawn camped their Hotel. I got about a dozen guys before we took the flag. Ended the round with 52 points and like 24:4 KDR.

And I didn't see anymore air dropped vodniks the rest of the round after the one I dropped, died, though we were fighting for the suburb by this time so maybe I just didn't see them.

It's super lame but I love it, I can now keep the US arty down for 90% of the time on karkand now and keep the cobra down for 80% of the time on Sharqi.

It is a thoery that raping the right side USMC default spawn with 5 or so troops on the hill there keeping the enemy down might actually disable the USMC vehicle drops.

I am not positive.

Yesterday while playing.. i was mounting a hill that had 6 enemies sitting on the other side of it. I thought i was gonna get HUGE stats with my machine gun... and just as i got towards the top.. my commander thought of dropping a car on me. So.. as it killed me.. it killed the guy who was coming up behind me as well. I load back in.. finally get back up the hill.. and it happened again.

GG. Died twice to an idiot commander.

p.s. Those same 6 guys ended up taking out 2 tanks, and like 9 ground troops before people noticed them.

So clearly not an idiot Commander. He claimed you and your teammate, twice, and helped his team to survive and take out two tanks and nine ground troops. Good work fella!

The whole vehicle drop thing was a stupid idea, but now its in the game, you can't blame Commanders for using it in creative ways. I drop vehicles on tanks and APCs all the time; if they're damaged already it will kill them, and if not, it will cause damage and distract them. It is quite simple to defend yourself if your on foot though, keep the 'E' key pressed as much as you can, so if a vehicle drops on you, you just end up inside it.

I have to admit I've dropped a few cars on people so far but the novelty soon wore off. Only time the other side gets a car on them instead of handing it off to my own team is if theres someone causing particular problems to my team and its the quickest way to solve it!

No its not. And I read a DICE developer interview last week where he talked about how much he enjoyed dropping cars on snipers.
