Yes there is such a thing as over clicking, I suffer from it occasionally and it has to do with clicking on the chopper every second. As you get closer the missile gets jerkier *pun intended* and you miss.

A good place to practice TV-shooting is single player.
* Whenever you lose the chopper you can restart the map
* You can switch seats with bots in flight (better than solo because this way your chopper doesn't spin).
Also if you have some notion of the map, you can practice the infamous TV-GM out of nowhere. It's nice
one thing about you gunners though. if the pilot hovers for a few seconds, that means that the pilot wants you to shoot something infront of him.
i just had a gunner do the exact opposite. i hovered infront of an anti tank guy but my gunner NEVER fired for some godforsaken reason. i hovered for like 5 seconds then BAM, AA fire killed us.
needless to say i cursed like a mofo after that.
When this happens keep an eye on the gunner view crosshair. Line up this crosshair with the guy you wanna kill and your gunner should be able to see and kill the infantry. Sadly, more often then not you get gunners that underperform purposely. Why people would do such a thing in a game that's all about points is beyond me...

thats horrible advice. the tv moves different on singleplayer. it moves faster and its over responsive to clicks. just go to an empty MULTIPLAYER server and if your going to practice, practice there.
