how do i save it back as a .con file

Make a new mod, or copy the Karkand files to "Karkand2" or something alike, because you won't be joining much servers with modified content.

You just open it with notepad, then hit ctrl+s when done.

About the other post with planes, it's not possible on maps that don't have them, atleast not without proper modifications

Right click the file and then "Open With>>Notepad".

Ok, found out how to do it.

Open up:
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Levels\Strike_at_Karkand\server.zip

Inside init.con

Find:

gameLogic.setTeamDropVehicle 1 "jep_vodnik"

Replace with:

gameLogic.setTeamDropVehicle 1 "RUTNK_T90"

MEC now drops T-90 on Karkand.

OK well I did all that then I pressed file and saved. Thn I got a message that said"Cannot create the C:\DOCUME~1\Temp\Temporary Directory 1 for server.zip\int.con file.

Make sure that the path and filename are correct."

Then I press OK then it pulls up the Save As screen but I did not press save as I pressed save and i tryed it a hundred time please help. And BTW I can't get the dang unlocks thing to work any suggestions? Thanks!

Save it outside the .zip file, then drag it over to update it.
