Awards Parody - isn't it ironic.

I enjoy listening to the pre/post patch 1.3 award chatter in the forums...I've come to the conclusion...(say it with just a hint of sarcasm and a dash of humor)

If you had the war college ribbon prior to the patch you are a team jumper but if you get it afterwards you took the easy way out and don't deserve it.

If you had the expert knife badge prior to the patch you must've got it from a pistol/knife server but if you get it afterwards you didn't earn it and therefore don't deserve it.

If you had the expert anti-air or ground defense badge prior to the patch you have no life because you have time to sit around and do nothing, but if you get it afterwards you didn't earn it and therefore don't deserve it.

If you had the expert explosive badge prior to the patch you must've been a gaymore noob, but if you get it afterwards you didn't earn it and therefore don't deserve it.

If you had the combat infantry, marksman infantry or sharpshooter infantry medal prior to the patch you had no life to log in that many hours, but if you get it afterwards you didn't earn it and therefore don't deserve it.

If you had any of the special forces expert hook/zip/flash badges prior to the patch you must've sat around in the corner spamming them to earn it, but if you get it afterwards you didn't earn it and therefore don't deserve it.

First Aid - knife/pistol server on Karkand
Resupply - stat padding on (Warlord) Palace Roof - you resupplying your grenade throwing team mate.
Engineer - repairing vehicle in the water
Armor - tank whore on Karkand
Aviation - plane whore on Wake Island
Helicopter - BH whore on Mashtuur (or perhaps Songhua)

If you only have a handful of medals/badges/ribbons then you're a noob but if you have almost all of the medals/badges/ribbons then you must be sharing your account with several users.

If you have expert...
-sniper - you're obviously a camper and without a doubt a gaymore noob.
-spec op - you're obviously a C4 noob.
-assault - you're obviously a noob toober.

I suppose I could go on...but it doesn't really matter...whatever award you get...chances are you don't deserve it...you didn't earn it and you're just a noob anyways.

-All in good fun...don't take this the wrong way...just poking fun at some of the whiner...er, I mean, fellow BF2 players in here...you know who you are...

if you have time to make a long post with a point, then you have no life. If you were able to do it after 1.3, then you don't deserve to.

I'm rather pleased with my shiny new gold Knife badge.
I feel I did earn it as every one of my pigsticker kills was legit, but I was careful along with being sneaky.

It took some doing to get that 3.0 KDR and has been a personal goal for me for awhile now.

to be honest i had all the basic badges except the explosive and i tried for 13 kills but it was to hard. i tried after the patch. but now that its been moved to 5 its super easy. for the expert zip line and such i got those the first time i went on a Sf server.

When it comes to the knife badge I think that everyone that invested time into killing enemies with knife over 100 times, deserves this badge even without the former 18 kills in a round. Same goes for the war college ribbon. 25,000 points as commander should earn you this ribbon in my book. The previous requirement of 3:1 win/lose ratio was just ridiculous. Instead of staying and fighting like men til the end, gay players were switching teams and quitting rounds just to meet the requirement.

i got the knife badge prior to the patch without one of those servers, if i look back at how i got it, it was pretty easy, just run around medic on ghost town map half full.

Earned it fair and square. I happened to play USMC alot on Strike at Karkand and we win about 75% of the time. Also the 45 IAR I got late one night when the server restarted and we played the 64 man map with only about 20 people.

Got them going on servers late at night. Some servers have people logged in and AFK, probabaly running scripts to automatically keep them from getting booted by PB, and kill them repeatedly.

As commander on maps with the Essex I would go into the AA guns or get into a mounted machine gun or TOW.

Nope, a combination of Claymores and switching to SpecOps (pick up the kits), and blowing people up at choke points.

Just play about 20 hours/week since release, its not that hard to get them all.

How does this help you get 25 heal points? When someone hits you with a knife you're dead - I guess there's alot of partial kills with pistol. I got my 25 heal points Blackhawk Whoring as a pilot in 1.02.

Actually the roof NW of the Hotel in Stike at Karkand. Keep the Snipers, SpecOps and everyone else supplied.

Actually I got this by repairing our assets on Wake Island 2007 on a map where this SpecOps guy would take a jet, parachute in and blow the assets; I got 3-5 repairs points each time he did this.

Understood. I think its just jealousy. Either people are too lazy to actually put the time into getting the award or they are not skilled enough to do it. You gotta remember that most people who play BF2 are carebears, to say the least.

Yup I got my expert knife and Combat Infantry, and I earned em by playing hard. All that chatter is from hypocritical nerds/losers who wanna be online bigshots.

i really earned my good conduct medal it took me forever to get this one. i had almost gotten it 4 or 5 times but i would always get team damage

Seriously. BF2 awards really aren't something to get worked up over. Ultimatly, they are utterly meaningless.
