Switch teams = team kills????

So last night (I'm on 1.3) I pop in the game, check the roster on each side, click on the other team to be with my mates. All is good until I get railed by some guy on the otherside in a tank. I look up, and it says he team killed me. I start ripping through a group of enemy, and instead of getting kills, they are marked as team kills. I even saw a bunch of the enemy's name tags looking as if they were on my team.

What gives? Is this a new bug. I want EA to wipe those TK's off my list too.

No, that's a very old bug. Red/Blue tag problem.

that a common bug where your team shows up as the enemy. its been around since the game came out.

EA doesnt 'fix' stats. your stuck with it.

No, not my team showing as the enemy, which I think is the old bug. But the enemy showing as my team.

The tank that shot me had a blue tag on it. How am I supposed to identify a vehicle by uniform???

and while EA is at it can they wipe those emabarrassing 198 defib deaths my clan mates did to me over the past year...those sneaky guys arggg...LoL

No, it's not the same thing. One is an enemy appearing to you as a friendly (ie with a blue name tag) so you don't shoot him. The other is your teammates appearing to be enemy (red name tag) so you shoot them and TK them, thinking you were shooting enemies.

However, both are the infamous "red/blue tag bug". Friendlies appearing to be enemy is the more common version, but enemies appearing to be friendlies is also a less-common part of the same bug.

I can only offer the advice of checking for uniform colour for infantry, but in the case of vehicles, I'm out of ideas. You can tell if it's a US tank or a PLA tank, but you'll never know if it's a US driver of a US tank, or if it's a PLA driver who has stolen a US tank.

This is why people have been screaming about this bug since day one, and are so annoyed that it still isn't fixed... The best you can do is hope it doesn't happen too often.
