I don't think the engines dying was coded in to prohibit solo flying, it was done so that an empty helo wouldn't fly for several minutes if it was level when vacated.

Funny, nothing changed AT ALL. Or it's even better bc now the chopper spins faster it's harder to kill you while you are sitting in the gunner seat.

And you still can kill the gunner with that... erm... "trick".

the made it so if u stay in the gunner seat to long the rotors shut off and the heli free falls to earth

Well to be fair to EA, they never said the change was done to stop chopper solo'ing :s

I can confirm that AA LOCKS ON even when you switch to gunner.

Very weird... It does not in my game..?
Changing seat still gets rid of lock..!

Not 100% of the time, but then, it didn't before the patch...
No difference noticed here...

did you ever notice if you switch seats the chopper will go up but if your pilot was killed the heli would just crash down
