1.3 hasn't messed with my AC soloing...

Just played a few rounds of Sharqi.
I was able to Solo the AC just as well as before.

(No I don't TK people to solo or anything like that.
I solo when I need to or if no one shows up to gun by the time I lift off.)

Then again I don't fire the TV unless I'm in a decent hover. Always have.
So if they have made the AC more 'erratic' with no pilot it has had little effect on my style.

      Lol..sorry.
      I'm not that sophisticated.
Besides, its not like solo AC'ing is so amazing that I have to show it off.

err....the whole point to solo'ing is being able to switch seats and accurately fire the TV in mid-air. If you are talking simply about going up in the air, and flying solo without a gunner, only using the rockets, you totally have it wrong.

Anyway, In terms of switching over to gunner, my solo'ing is pretty much still unafected. I was surprised as I saw in several videos that the helicopter would immediately enter a spin and loss of power. However, the time between that and when it actually happens is quite sufficient.

What they need is to have the helicopter explode instantly.
            That'll stop you.

The time from switching to stopping the engines is (conveniently) approximately 5 seconds: enough time to switch, TV the longest possible distance and switch back.

Tell me: do you believe in coincidences ? I sure don't.

This is a pity, cause solo TVing is one of the imbalanced issues around, for the simple reason that AA can't lock onto you, and the upwards spin you go into allows you to evade other enemy directed fire.

Since DICE shortened the distance of the TV missiles a helo pair can go inside of four hundred meters, fire and back out and be utterly safe while the solo pilot is toast.

I also think the patch made it so that helos are still lockable when you switch seats.

I can confirm that AA LOCKS ON even when you switch to gunner.

Quite possibly. I can assure you, it now locks on even when you are in the gunner seat: I think everyone was manning AA vehicles/stations tonight while I was playing on Kubra Dam.

Ehhh, They really didnt fix the switch hitting issue with the attack choppers... think about it, how many of you press F2 than sit there for 5 full seconds .....you probably switch for 1 second Fire TV than switch back..if you do it effectivly it should take a maximum of 3 seconds. Even with missle travel distance.
