it sucks being commander and spotting out multiple targets and getting banned for too much chatter for 30 seconds.

in USI the guy says something everytime you shoot a missile "fox one" and if you do it too much it considers it voice chat spam =)

Wierd glitch when I picked up someone elses kit. As you can see by the video I couldnt throw my grenade at first. After it finally got thrown every weapon would glitch. The two grenades I throw at the end happened when I RIGHT clicked. Then it was fine.

I don't think you need to be too bright to work out bugs like the "Server List" one. Sure testing is not easy, but blatant things are inexcusable.

Explain to me how they could possible have found the server list ping problem?

1. Hit-detection thingy (the "x") in the plane HUD after killing someone with artillery, happend before the round started (and why doesn't exist when using the aircraft weapons).
2. Hand grenade lauching fuckup, you launch a grenade that doesn't show the animation or grenade leaving your hand, when it (the server) understands that you had launched a grenade, two or more appears flying towards it target.
3. Sometimes the server doesn't register fire-key input, you press and hold the button, but nothing happens, fixing it by releasing the key and try again.
4. Noises continue to play after you left commander-screen.
5. When going between fully zoomed in and normal view in commander screen, you'll breifly see the normal viewmode (your weapon and stuff).
6. Planes explode due to contact to object without beeing near them in the first place.
7. Missiles still track friendlies, and kills them too.
8. Sometimes impossible to use commander mode, the clicking doesn't register on the location of the mouse-pointer (having the mouse over UAV sets of supplies instead, nearly impossible to spot targets as it closes the menu instead of sending the message)
9. Spotting doesn't always work even though you are right above the enemy target.
10. Supplies sometimes doesn't drop but starts the timer over again.
11. Planes somewhat harder to control, you need to compensate for your movements to get the plane where you want.
12. Hitdetection still bad.
13. Missiles hit and explode without being near your plane (was shot down several times by this).
14. Flares are still useless.
15. Shock-paddles reload is fucked.
16. Server freezes when new round is about to begin, only way to fix it (?) is to restart the BF2-server (seen it several times on datorbutiken.com servers (if that helps)).
17. When going from prone to standing to run away, the player returns to prone a second later.
18. When using the chat, sometimes a previously pressed key appears in the chat-line (seen it as commander and normal player).
19. General-bug: Communication between server and client is fucked (see bug: 2, 3, 8, 12, 17).

Ummmm... Let me see...

You boot the game, select multiplayer, double click on the server you want to play, see it jump around the list, report the bug, fix it.

That doesn't seem too hard does it?

Connection Problems on all of my favourite servers (UK, Norway, Netherlands and Germany). I either get disconnected after 5 minutes of play or after a couple of hours but it will happen. Server is still up and running but I am no longer in it. Never ever had that problem before 1.3/

That doesn't seem too hard does it?

In order to test it, DiCE would have to had about 20 servers (enough to fill up the browser list) all connected to a test master server and all in different parts of the world or a giant VLAN.

If they had all their test servers on the same LAN which seems normal, then there wouln't have been any changes in ping large enough to make server move up and down.


There were only 3 ranked test servers found by Game-Monitor which again probably wouldn't be enough to have detected the problem.

Mines tend to stick to the target instead of blowing it up (hilarious).

Revive-without-kit bug still there (if you revive someone who for instance slipped a bit and is not by his kit, he is revived without any weapons)

Hit detection worse than previously. I had several occasions when I was shooting standing target point blank and he was not hurt.

Missiles go through vehicles more often.

Can't drop vehicle while commander using the quick menu (T) have to do it in commander screen.

installed the patch, loaded an online game by enterring the ip adress, game loaded, when i click the join button, i get a crash to desktop.
tried loading a game from the game browser, same problem, tried after reboot, still the same problem.

Connection Problems again now on Servers actually listed in the Multiplay serverlist screen. I played via IP but joining a listed server also gives me a Disconnect from Server.

PB Auto and Manual Update were done and installed, Cache flushed via CCleaner and the folder in BF2 directory, Installed both Incremental and Full.

After all this I am no longer experiencing CTD (for now I might add) but I get disconnected more often. Never happened before 1.3. The game has become unplayeble like this. Txs EA / DICE for killing the game.
