We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Well this is nothing new and I have found that it's usually a server side error. We have had this problem in my own server and after a restart all was fixed.
Never, ever, happened to me before 1.3, so if it happens to me straight after installing 1.3, what am I supposed to think? QED
Have you reinstalled BF2 and applied the Full patch?
Are you willing to admit that it's a problem with your PC/system and not something that EA can/should fix?
defragged, re-installed, repatched(full patch). Not the comp btw, never really had any problems with ctd, maybe here and there at most.

Had this prior to ~1.2 - effect multiplied by "laggy" connection.
Honestly, 160 hours of commander time and this is the first I've seen it. Either a MAJOR coincidence or 1.3 has added some fun for me and my computer. Perhaps a video issue having to do with my current set-up...?

I got online for 5 minutes, and saw three nifty new bugs, plus an overall glitchiness that's yet even worse again than previous patches. Oh, and I never CTD, but I had one today the first time I logged out of one server, and went to another.
1. Spot a helicopter with one person in it, and it comes up as the pilot's kit spotted, instead of the vehicle. Flying sniper spotted!
2. As mentioned above, when you're displaying a listing of servers, the list constantly updates based on the sorting criterion you chose, once you click that server's name. If you sorted by name, you're fine, but if you sorted by ping, you're effed, because the ping keeps changing, which means that the server jumps away to never-never land, and is replaced by a new server name. Kinda fun: it's a random server name generator - just pick your ping, and see a new server with every click.
3. No listings of players in the servers, or listings that are totally out of date. The server line might say that there 42 players online, but the player name listing window shows a vacant server. Enter it, and when you're in, there are 16 guys there. Totally random.
Overall impression of this release: EA has yet again introduced more exciting bugs and glitches than ever before, all while enhancing lag. Enjoy your new learning experience, customers... hot patch coming soon! In the meantime, enjoy the drama of logging into new randomly generated servers that CTD after an endless verification process. Oh, the suspense! Will I get in? Yes? Yes!? Yess!? Oh no - CTD! What fun.
Thank God these twits aren't coding the control software for nuclear power plants, that's all I can say.
It is pretty obvious they didn't even play test this patch....wonder why not?

I have a 1,400 dollar computer and have CTD's. Battlefield is VERY buggy and always has been.
We can't help their problems, only DICE and EA can. We aren't programmers, there are no walkarounds for getting bugs in game. Just friggen annoys me when people don't admit that this game has horribly failed the bug test numerous times because of faulty coding/programming, but instead blame peoples computers.
It is a fact, people should be able to buy a game and play it. They should not have to deal with all this BS that is 'normal' with BF2. Oh oh oh ya just uninstall and reinstall 5 times and you might get it to work. While you're at it you might as well get a new computer, ah hell make it a workstation, maybe a blade server would work better.
A bug were when you are swimming you get stuck and cant move. Saw it happened to someone on a wake server today. They had to suicide. They could move at all, just jittered back a forth.
