Would someone who has tried the seat-switching technique please comment about the patch changes relevant to this ?

If the reaosn why you won't install the patch is because you're scared it'll ruin your single-seat choppering, then suck it up and adapt. Join a clan and get a good pilot to go with you; the TV missiles haven't been changed.

I wrote this when I woke up and posted it so that people who've already had the chance to try the technique could reply with their thoughts while I went to breakfast.

Now that I'm back, I get one helpful reply and one from someone pegging me as a scared exploiter. Awesome. Thank you for the many assumptions you've made, but you're wrong on all of them: I can solo with havoc missiles just fine and I *AM* in a clan with a good gunner.

Would you like to make any more assumptions ?

Is that where you switch from pilot to gunner? Doesn't the heli spin uncontrollably though? I've tried, and I couldn't fire correctly becuase of the spinning.

Is there a way to avoid it?

I'm glad they made it so the chopper crashes. That way you don't have to wait for it to fly into outerspace for it to respawn.

Yeah apex - u just have to be fast. F2, rt click, left click and let it fly. You will spin though, and need to alighn to the left first. (+ u dont show up on radar / or for AA (No Pilot...)) I dont mind if they take the ability to do this away. I think the chopper should be used properly w/ a good pilot / gunner team.

yea...good fix. Doesn't affect solo tv guideds as well.

roFL one time on mashtuur i got a m95 kill on a chopper pilot who was flying with a full crew. too bad it kept flying until someone noticed there was no chopper.
now they wiLL get rapeD

Yeah it looks as though (with this vid) that u can still pull the fastswitch off - the engine dosent cut off for about 5 seconds.

It's the same... I know the engine cuts off, but the camera missle, even at the longest distance, you can kill someone, switch back, and the engine will JUST turn off... you can't even notice it... and on top of that, the chopper doesn't even fall fast... so its the same.
