I did the incremental install and had the following problem....

tried to login to account server and said something around the lines of "account manager not responding" or something like that

then uninstalled everything....fresh install

still same message

Now my question is.....is this on my end or EA's end? never had a problem with it before...

and also if it is on my end how do i rectify the situation?

please help ive searched everywhere for this and ive seen a couple (3) posts about it with no solutions

When you uninstalled, did you delete the EA Games folder on your HDD? Also, delete the Battlefield 2 folder in My Documents.

Do this in safe mode too, just to be sure. Then, run Disk Cleaner, and a program like Crap Cleaner, AdAware ect, anti virus, normal system maintenence stuff. Then restart and install.

Long winded I know. I've had to do it before with the previous patches.

Oh and finally, download the full install before you do this, so you have it ready. You could also take the opportunity to update any drivers that are out of date to.

my Clan and I refuse to play until a 1.31 patch is released within the next couple of days. No one I know has played for more than an hour without crashing.

I am suitably ****ed off.

Btw that is on a good occassion, on average crash occurs in 15 minutes, and it happens to everyone on server, not the individual.

I just saw 30 people crash from a prmm server, then i re joined, then it crashed as soon as i get to the first flag ~ 1 minute.

Bf vanilla is fvcked! PRMM is the go, but BF2 original needs to be fixed before i can even play that..

The above is an incoherent rant^^ But abuse me however you like for my unstructred words, this patch ****ed everything.

Bugs:
-You can't capture the flag while your for example gunner on a tank! Only the Tank driver self.
- Shooting sometimes 10 seconds @ enemy's they turn arround and shoot me dead in one sec! GRRR
- Frustrating server browser, when clicking once on a server it jump to a other position! (it refeshes it self immidiatly)

Bugs:
-You can't capture the flag while your for example gunner on a tank! Only the Tank driver self.

AND AFTER ALL, EA plz make Natural Point TrackIR working on BF2 for planes etc, and maybe for soldiers also, so they can walk to a point while watching at something else at same time.

I get CTD's half the time, Unmodified content errors half the time, 3/4ths of my AT rounds go straight through APC's, and every server I have spent more than 10 minutes on crashes and drops every player.

amen to that brother....

i dont think EA/Dice have spent ANY money on q and A.

Downloaded full patch (not incremental, FULL) yesterday and installed it. Deleted the cache. Re-set up all of my newly changed video and sound settings. Went into game...

Servers either paused out, crashed, or got the infamous "Crash To Desktop". Haven't managed to play version 1.3 for more than 15 minutes at a time

My experience today.

10:45pm. Join a server.
10:50pm. 30 second "connection problems" pause.
10:55pm. Crash to Desktop.

That'd be about the 10th I've had since the new patch. I haven't had more than a 15minute interval where one of these things hasn't happened.

Add on to that the fact that our clan practice server doesn't have unlocks anymore, and our clan matches will no longer either, and I'm getting close to realising that there's no actual game to leave in disgust... Because the game just plain doesn't work anymore, and any competitive games planned, have effectively had every part of them modified.

The fact is, even if they fix these problems, I will never purchase an EA product again. It boggles the mind the incompetence of the people responsible for this game.

REPEAT. The problems I've eperienced have happend WITH THE FULL PATCH.

So will you stop insinuating that it has anything to do with the incremental one. IT DOESN'T!!!!!!!

WTF are "they" doing (EA/DICE) EVERY patch has a post-patch patch, its pathetic, its called testing guys

least im glad to know im not the only one with extra long login times

and the server browser.. WTF is that your idea of a mini game?
every time i click on a server (when listing by maps) and click on a server with the map i want, it jumps.... click on another one.. it jumps!

find the server? where did it stop? where did it go?
NOBODY NO's!!!

wasnt going to buy 2142 before this... now im going to make sure no one i know does!
