Because the product of utter crap. While fundamentally a fun, groundbreaking game, EA has successfuly cut it down to a crappy, unstable game with absolutely no variety or added content.

And, wait, hey - the patch I just installed made MY GAME STOP WORKING.

Why would anyone complain when the patch makes their game CTD everytime?

Actually The reason i dont care about ctd is because i figured that my problem was just because a couple servers were not runing the patch correctly. So i was just like whatever. And tried a couple other servers and it works fine now.

ANd i got my game july 7, 2005. And yes i do know a good bit about computers i have built several for several people and am in college for computer eningeering.

So yea. In all the patch has done nothing to affect me. Because i tried other servers and they work fine.

You haven't played enough. Your CTDs have nothing to do with the servers at all.

BF2 crashes to desktop. It does so on all systems if you wait long enough - and I don't mean days and days and days which will eventually crash any program, I mean in a very brief period of time (30 minutes to a couple of hours). Or, if it doesn't crash, your enemies will start showing up as friends, friends will start showing as enemies, and your ERYX anti tank rocket will magically tear a hole in time and space and go right through the vehicle you're aiming at. CLEAR THROUGH.

The people who are responsible for this constant, year long fiasco deserve to get the bamboo-shoot treatment. I paid 30 bucks for this game the second day after it came out a Fry's, and still feel cheated.

If EA were a car maker, they'd be Delorean.

Biggest issue (and only so far) that Im having is my server browser is COMPLETELY on the fritz. I have a fraps video of it that Ill post up before to long.

Weird it was working perfectly earlier after I installed the incremental. Now it is sometimes showing bad ping in browser and when I join the game it just laggs up and loses connection right away.

I was trying to connect to the 101st Euro Force server. I will try the other mods.

Hopefully you can login to see this BS. Our server was screwed. We kicked the guy who dropped about 75 crates in a minute or two, then we tried as commander and it did the same thing. I get CTD's half the time, Unmodified content errors half the time, 3/4ths of my AT rounds go straight through APC's, and every server I have spent more than 10 minutes on crashes and drops every player.

Also, its like the server browser is a Florida Voting machine. When I click on a server it rearranges them so the one I wanted is in a different location and I can never click on what I want.

So if you want to complain about "Whining" please hang yourself immediately, I'll even pay for the rope if you want.

1.3 has screwed up my BF2, (full install). disregarding the CTD's, the server browser is now even more of a chore to use. For some reason they have decided to automatically re-order the server list whenever I click on a server. So it basically reshuffles the list and displaces the desired server with almost every click. It appears to reshuffle them based on ping. But I also get the ping indicators going crazy and no information is displayed on any selected server (not even player lists).



Oh well. Not the end of the world, i'll go and read. Lets hope 1.4 doesn't make it any worse.

Yeah, I spent 5 mins just trying to chase down a damn server to play on. Everytime I clicked, it would reorder the list and select an empty server (or a seemingly random one).

*sigh* I was hoping 1.3 was gonna fix things, not make it worse.

I've no idea if this has been mentioned, but has anyone had any problems trying to connect to a server? I browse a server and a ton of servers pop up, but once I click on it, it'll either drop to a 0 ping and disappear, shoot to over a 50,000 ping and disappear, or it'll immediately disappear when I click on it. WTH? I can only join by friends sending me their IPs.

Here's an example. I originally had a list of over 100 servers, now it's down to this:



Edit, make that over a 5,000,000 ping! And Special Forces doesn't have this problem, only BF2, but hardly any servers run Special Forces, so..

i have just downloaded this patch from a EA server, its working fine.. very smooth ! .. Every patch EA has made has made my pc have no probs or bf2 !
