Yes, but P90 also has 10 bullets more per clip, which means 30 more, almost another clip of MP7. I don't have either, but I think I'd prefer faster reload anyways.
When you have the P90, you have the AT rocket, which can actually snipe a stupid foe, who doesn't know how to get out of the way. And it's insta-kill up close also if you hit a guy with the AT. Cheap, I know, but a reality.
You know what I think it is? Everyone that plays engineer is used to playing with shotgun, so when they switch to SMG, but still are engineer, they think its great. However, the P90 is basically the same as all the other AT SMGs, so people who us AT don't think its any big deal.
The P90 scope is useless. No clue why EA put a scope on such an inaccurate gun. And DAO-12 > P90 anyday. MP7 is good for engineer, though, since you don't have a rocket for long-range infantry killing.
Well, EA just put it on there to be accurate. IRL, P90s are pretty much standard with red dot sight. Also, I think it would have been interesting for EA to have the P90 penetrate armor as that is what it was made for (specifically the bullet it packs).

I've found the red dot to be fairly handy at ranges of about 100-150 feet with the P90 in SS mode. 2 headshots = kill. Since the P90 is so quiet and has a small muzzel flash, you can usually get your shots off without being spotted right away if yer sneaky.

I must be missing something- I can barely hit somone's body at 150 feet with the P90, much less get a headshot.
