Cheers and thank you to the people at USI who coded/skinned/audio/designed this fine & fun peice of equiptment











Allthough shot to peices and low on explosives I manage to make a mayday call then land her safely in the remote desert of Iraq.

now lets wait to see how good quality the EA/DICE bf 2 team will make there version of the A-10 in the upcomeing Armored Fury expansion. I am wondering what model it will be I know there is the A-10 Thunderbolt II which I posted then there is the A-10 Warthog.

The graphics are alot nicer on other pc's unfortunitly im running my pc on a crappy GeForce 6600 on low-mediem settings so those pics may not be as "good" as on other pc's.

Dude ya.... I almost shit my fuckin pants when I first shot that cannon... rofl..



For those of you that don't know.... if you are sitting on the ground, and you shoot that baby... it sends you flying BACKWARDS! lol... it also has 14 (right?) dummy missles (idk the tech. name, but its just unguided missles that are automatic) and 6 cluster bombs.


It kills a tank in under 1 second... with the cannon alone.





omg people... if you don't have it...

ok 1 a-10 thunderbolt II and a-10 warthog is the same thing its nickname is a-10 watrhog and the name 4 the "dummy" bombs ther called retarted bombs(im pretty sure but not positive)

ROFL "Retarded bombs"? That's worse than the dumb-bombs. What you're refering to are MK-82 General Purpose Free-fall bombs.

But what Metallica is actually refering to are called LAU-68 Hydra 70 mm rockets.

I would not say its really over powered. The cannon over heats like after 3-4 seconds of using it.

With the hand held missles, mutipul anti aircraft vehicles and a skilled fighter pilot I would not say its over powerd. If the server lacks any of these positions then I would consider it over powerd. On the time I was playing bearly any of that was around so I ended up killing the same people over and over.

Retarder bombs are the ones that open up from the behind (like the ones our A-10, aswell as the vanilla fighters-bombers have).

The "dumb missiles" are called FFAR

Warthog is the name given to the plane by pilots. There is not an additional A-10 called the Warthog. They are one in the same.

The A10 rocks, I had a chance to see one in person. just the sound of the engines gives you the chills.

The USI mod rules, in my opinion the way bf2 should have been. Not only does the A10 rule, all the sounds have been changed into way cooler sounds.

Oh and Bashrah Streets is my new favourite map, middle of a city... no tanks, no apcs just a few cars.... Best infantry map i've ever played.

There is just sooo much new stuff in this one that I could rant on for ages, just download the damn thing!

Most of the air can be kept in check by the personal AA kits alone. There are few ways to sucker punch the air vehicles using your AA kit to get them to flare, so it is easy to give the other team the hint that they should stay the f*ck away from your flag if you work at it with a partner

If it were in vanilla BF2, as of now.. yes.. it WOULD be overpowered... but since it is in a mod where everything is "overpowered"... its all balanced and perfect.



Btw, it turns slower than the F-15... it takes like 7 seconds just to do a U-turn... but then look at its weapons... rofl.. more than makes up for it.
