Don't hold your breath hoping that EA will fix any of those stuff. If it's not mentioned in the pre-release patch list, it probably won't be fixed. Assuming they will address these unmentioned issues is only setting yourself up for further disappointment.

But hey, it's a good lesson about disappointments in life.

BF2 is one of the greatest games, but its engine really sucks. Sometimes it seems like the engine was never finished and probably we willl see the limits of it in BF2142. And then off to a new one, written by some programmer in his bassement under beer bottles.
