Well there really shouldn’t have to be an “<E>” battle if players would show some respect and take turns like adults!

Wouldn't it be nice? I'm not a pilot myself, but I do a fair amount of tank/apc work. When I get blown up, I'll often spawn back at the base that spawns the vehicle (unless there's a very pressing threat elsewhere). Sometimes when I respawn, there's nobody around, so I take the vehicle again. But if somebody is there, waiting by the vehicle, it's theirs. I'll take a different vehicle and ride alongside them for repair support.

I am not a trool, I was referring to exaples outside this thread, where I have helped numerous people with various computer related problems. I am constantly on AIM helping people with builds or problems. It is rare I will insult someone, but when you post something stupid I will tell you about it.

Quality of my lifestyle. ok, I am married, have a newborn child, work 45+ hours a week, go to school several nights a week, golf whenever I get a chancem, and play paintball as often as I can find the time. Not to mention working on my car when I'm in the mood. But whatever, I have no life. :)

Yes I am proud of my computer, I have speant alot of time working on it and this IS a computer based forum, so why wouldn't I put my computer in my sig.

This is what I saw when I read your story:

I took a jet and died. When I came bakc I wanted the jet again because no one is entitled to the jet even if they wait for it. I didn't get it, so now I am entitled to it next time because I am a total hypocrite. The jet comes back and I break the BFROE to get it like a spoiled little baby. I die again and the other guy comes up with a much more inventive way of getting the jet. Now I'm going to come in here and tell you about it and make myself look like a complete tool.

Just so you know why you are going to be flamed until this thread gets locked or dies.

Fine, good for you. You have a life, whatever. You're a shining example of helpful tech support. Goodie. You probably help old ladies across the road and rescue kittens from trees, too. I could go on about how superior my life is, and you could rebutt, and so forth and so on, but I have no desire to turn this into a wizzing contest. If I cared that much, I'd probably blog about it, or something.

So my question is, why bother to insult someone in the first place? Just let the thread die if it's that meaningless. No one needs or wants the kind of input you placed into the second post.

There are too many people around posting meaningless two word, or single smiley drivel with the only purpose and result of increasing a post count on a forum.

Ultimately, I think it's just too hard people to show any respect to others anymore, especially when you can lash out at a faceless nick on a forum... something we all are guilty of from time to time.

Because he is the exact kind of person that ruins the game for many other by Tking because it is "his" jet, or helo. He is no more entitled to it than anyone else. So what if the person gets in and crashes it 30 sec later, that's that persons right to do so.

You don't understand the situation.

These two guys in my situation took 'my jet' to a new level. One guy wanted the jet, his clan mate was using a jeep to eliminate the competition. They should have been working together to take flags or kill the enemy, not jump the line for the jet.

Because he is the exact kind of person that ruins the game for many other by Tking because it is "his" jet, or helo. He is no more entitled to it than anyone else. So what if the person gets in and crashes it 30 sec later, that's that persons right to do so.

I don't think any reasonable person condones indiscriminate team killing, but I feel in some cases it's justified to remind some smacktards they are dealing with real people, not lines of code in a game that can be treated any way they wish.

In future, i'll just have to work a touch harder translating 'You are retarded' into 'I do not approve of the way you feel you must have the jet because you beleive you are a superior pilot, and must kill your team mate to ensure you have the jet.'

Metasynaptic I wasn't referring to your situation dude. That was cold of them to drive the jeep. If it was up to me both of them would have been tied to a "TK Cross" where anyone could TK them without fear of negative points. I was referring to Scarz. He deserves to be on that "TK Cross".

As for blogs, I dunno, some people like telling others about their lives. As an astrophysicist, I have an understanding of how small and insignificant an individual life is, and do not seek to tell others about what I consider to be my own, insiginificant existance.
