Im really surprised that theres been no rumours of anything after 1.3 and Armoured Fury, especially booster packs, but DICE have given up on any community correspondence, i guess they figure they've fixed everything. The reason im suprised( and this is probably what happened with the sims ) is that from DICEs newsletter/quarterly results they've stated that they get the majpority of the revenue from the booster packs and only a small amount of the actual game because they have to pay back EA for the money they received on initial investment for creating BF2( or subsidising the project after it had started )
But to me the booster packs have been badly implemented, what destroys them for me is that anything new they bring out is only available in the maps for that booster pack, it doesnt add zilch to the vanilla game which is what would be soo much better

I like the idea of a naval themed expansion and mentioned in another thread. I am sceptical about any further expansion or boosters after Armored Fury though, we'll just have to wait and see.

same thing hapened to 1942 and bfv, and all other games, Dice will turn their head to the next thing and incorporate what they learned from bf2 and apply it to 2142.

they should make the patch 1.3 into AF and release them at the same time so they are the same version and u wouldnt have to patch up after installing AF....

i dont think they should/would release another booster/expansion after AF, they should add more ranked city maps geared toward infantry, for vanilla bf2 in a patch or free download for being such loyal ppl and stickin wit them through all their sh!t
