Coolness, they're going to nerf jets...woot to all us people without expensive joysticks and a poor ol' mouse n keyboard.

I'd like to comment on BF2142...no matter how much they try to keep us calm...this is really scaring me. Look, I like games..period, but I'm not crazy about them either..I play sports, I'm in all GT, have a girlfriend, and other friends to stay in touch with, and I just made it to TJHSST(look it up ) Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology foolorz..I really wanna buy Bf2142 but the interview given on Gamespot really bugs me.. 42 unlocks is ALOT, and the other "features" that you can unlock are: faster/longer sprint speed, HEAVIER armor, more ammo, more health, packs/equipment, weps. Ok, this sounds like a gamer's dream but hell to me. It bascially does this...42 unlocks=MASSIVE GAME TIME. I play 1-2 hours per day if I'm lucky and don't have soccer practice, but i expect to be owned by the crazy gamers who play about 3-4 hours minimum, with these unlocks, by the time I START the game, vets with heavier armor, more ammo per clip(its true, its an UNLOCK) will be pwning every noob only to get higher and more points. I don't think I can compete.

Having played the Game @ E3 I can put to rest your worries... it is balanced and even when you get a situation where its "vet with unlocks" vs "noob with no unlocks" you still have a chance. The game is even, fair and has a lot of room for all players to engage multiple styles of play and strat.

You worries are unfounded at this time.. and keep in mind it has not even been betated yet.. * wink *.

I like BF2 and I just hope that this new version does not take away from the game itself. I dont have much time to play being in the military and all but I sure try to make time. I have both euro forces and special forces but I always go back to just good old BF2...which I am sure is what I'll do with this game.

so what? BF2 hasnt been betated either and we have been playing it for a year.

(kidding :p but u have to aggree the game has too much bugs)

this is crazy. I have flown real life helicopters, and am a private pilot for fixed wing aircraft myself. Helicopters are still very hard to fly in real life, no matter how you compare it to game. There is still lots of skill involved in games and in real life, but you forget that in real life, you have to worry about weather, navigation, air traffic, altitude, vertical speed, attitude (different than altitude), and many other things, so you have to have the ability to multitask, unlike bf2 where you only have to shoot and avoid fire arcade style and not real life combat style. There is no weather like wind concerns, and one climb indicator and an altitude indicator which don't help much. Point said, helicopters in real life are much harder to fly.

Or you could take him at his word. Or 2 minutes research on the Internet would tell you that yes, helicopters are harder to fly than planes. Your mind has to work a bit different. The washout rate for copter pilots is greater than fixed wing.

Planes have only been a bother when all the good pilots are on the other team... In BF1942 *caugh*(BF2142) look fimilar for a sequal?
... Planes in BF1942 weren't dominate not becuase of other planes but rather anti-air. It's modern times and anti air (AA) is more high tech then in BF2. C'mon I mean your sitting open right next to the missiles, where are the computers locking on a target I really hope they fix it though, but either way people will still complain...
