Actually, it's apparently true.
I was talking to a guy that flys real choppers and plays BF2. He made an off handed comment about how much harder they are to fly in BF2. Real choppers have pilot assist features like auto hover, auto-rotation (in the event of an impending crash), and functional instrementation that lets you know you're in trouble before you smack into the ground.
And to think, Helicopters are harder to fly than Aircraft. Before you become a helo pilot, at least in the military, you learn how to fly fixed wing.

LOL. A stranger with wings told me a patch is in the works. Looking for beta testers tho..

LMAO you guys can be serious about comparing the flyability of the chopper in BF2 vs real life and flying chopper is much harder than a plane. Its a fact

I've personally never flown a real chopper, but I can see how you can safely say it's harder in BF2. :p

You do know the military uses simulators (very techinical games) to train and instruct novice pilots right?
It's not so far fetched to think that playing games that focus on the same content as your profession won't make you a tad' bit more proficient at it.
...could be why military forces are using a number of programs to teach squad-level tactics, etc. etc.
if theyre gonna fix the "plane dominating" then they should just get rid of jets all the way...if uve seen Tears of the Sun..at the end..1,000,000 rebel soldiers with ak-47s and rpgs and then 2 jets fly by and boom..bye bye rebel troopers
than that wouln't be battlefield anymore.. battlefield has a feel to it since it includes all kinds of vehicles.. helos, planes, tankes, jeeps....
