Good sniping spots

Since I stopped worrying about my stats and my points recently, I decided to give the sniper kit a chance, something that I was avoiding when I was after the points in the past. Anyway, can some of the experienced snipers give me some advices about which are good sniper spots in the vanilla maps, so I can enjoy this kit even more?

The best sniper spot is the "anti-spot." I love challanging snipers to duels, sometimes you get to kill them twice. lay down in an old predicatble spot on sharqi and see who wants to trade shots.

basically anywhere out of the action and a good sniper never gives away his location but always pick a spot where u cant see much...if u can see them they can see u...and always keep moving because sooner or later ..ur victims will avenge themselves

well it also depends on what you are.. if you're a camping sniper, or an assault sniper.. camp.. well you just camp, if you're an assault sniper you move behind your friends as they move along as support,etc..

Before yesterday i used the sniper class 34 minutes. Since then i played a total of 3hrs and 57min (obviously off from work today and felt like proving a point to some modders).

I will be rated/ranked #6 over-all per statpadder.com when sniper rifles summary refreshes from #?????? (probably 0). This class is so easy and gay it's rediculous. My advice to you is don't use this class save it for the nubz cause lord knows there are enough of then using this gay over powered class.

Personally other than the fact that this class is over-powered, i think it's a crowd favorite because most peeps couldn't hit the broad side of a tank at 20
yards with out using noob-zoom (the sniper scope).

Rofl. Must be why I see so many snipers with a negative kd ratio at the end of a round.

I just think its an attractive class to the new player. But once you realize the best spot isnt on top of some building or hill is when you can be extremely deadly.

But really whens the last time you saw someone call a sniper a haxor?

after points...? Bro... the sniper racks in more kills than most kits if you aren't retarded... and can aim...

and on top of that, you don't get killed much.

Well you have to agree that it's a defensive class. I'm sure you can score lots of kill points, and defeding flags points(using claymore), but for capping flags, you are doomed, unless there is nobody around. Anyway, I was asking about some good spots for sniping, especially in the vanilla maps. You have any?

Yeah, I haven't played much lately, but today 8 kills 1 death, not bad. I've gone 15 kills and 0 deaths, at Karkand, never camping once, just staying with a squad capping flags, it was amazing. Also, don't be hating snipers. And while I'm typing this I just looked up at govedob's post and completely disagree, about capping flags, the best stratedgy ever is for the sniper to hang in the back with a squad, and rip apart the squads enemies that go prone at every corner.

Yea, i like sniper alot. I love just picking off random guys and imagining them curse as they realize a sniper got them. Experienced assault snipers with a semi-auto rifle are a force to be reckoned with. For sniper spots, anywhere high, with lots of cover, and a good field of fire is good. And try to leave as little of yourself showing as possible.

Or alternatively, and i have more than 2500 sniping kills so i do know what im on about, go somewhere low. Nobody ever goes low. they never look low. Go low and rack in the kills.

One final bit of advice, if someone doesnt know you're around and comes by.. stay under a bush but STAY STILL dont look around. especially on a map like karkand where the bushes and ghille seem to work wonders.

At the hotel on Karkand there's an air vent that runs part way around the building above the flag. Climb up onto the roof then go prone and drop onto it. When taking sniper fire people tend to look up at the roof and so don't spot you. I've never been spotted while there and only ever been killed by arty.

thing is with secrets of bf2 that most people have seen it therefore most people with knw where you are
