If the above were true, that would be enough incentive to buy BF2142. :yay:

E3 footage I saw of BF2142 were played on widescreens. Not sure if they were LCD's or Plasma TV's though but it was widescreen and full screen no black bars and no stretching.

Dual monitor is impossible for BF2. All you could do would be to have your desktop showing on the other monitor.

..and for those who haven't figured it out, the above BF2 1.3 release note was made up on-the-spot to prove a point

Doesn't work... I have tried, even with setting the size for battlefield to as a sized window... Plus the ram that takes, whew!

I use a widescreen laptop and the game looks just fine and dandy, even on med/low

Widescreen I think you should wait for bf2142 to come out as it probably does support widescreen

I specifically asked DICE when I was at E3 if BF2142 will be widescreen and he did not know for sure. He said they are hoping for it though. The screens that had BF2142 seemed to be widescreen TV's.

Im running Battlefield 2 at 1680x1050 now via command line shortcut. Bought a Viewsonic 2025wm Widescreen that was on deal. Even after I did this do I still need to change my FOV? Also will PB kick for this?

All you need is the edited shorcut. PB won't do anything.

The shortcut doesn't work for me. I use 800x600 on a widescreen 1280x800. Can some verify the command for me?

All you need is the edited shorcut. PB won't do anything.

I have the edited shortcut and it works, but the field of view settings under defaultvideo.con might need to be changed. I was inquiring about whether PB would kick for this? I read something awhile back stating that it would but would like a second opinion. I can play the game without issue right now but was wondering what sort of differences there would be if I modified the FOV.

PB won't because your Fov hasn't changed. Your view is stretched. I think it looks very ugly. :hmm:

Sweet. I will be buying an iMac or Macbook by the time 2142 comes out (they are widescreen fyi) and hopefully BootCamp will be in the full versions. Thatll be friggin sweet
