Repair Points?

1) there is already a way to stat pad your repair points

No, but IMO they should get repair points faster than they currently do. Maybe for 50% of a vehicle instead of 100. Healing points are gotten for healing a soldier 100%, but that only requires you to toss a medpack or two down and Bob's your uncle. Repair points, OTOH, require you to sit an wrench on something until your trigger finger hurts, or grab a vehicle and park it next to someone (or something, in the case of a commander asset) for 20 seconds or so to get a repair point. If 25 heal points IAR are difficult, how the hell is anyone supposed to get 25 repair points in a single round sans stat padding?

I think engineers should get more repair points for stuff they do even on unoccupied vehicles because it is still a repair.

Not only that...BUT the amount of times you can spend risking life and limb, trying not to get shot at, to repair your own tank, so you can stay in the game longer......to do better for the team. and you dont even get rewarded for it by way of a repair point!!

Yet, if you do it when there is a gunner in the tank, you do get a point. What is the difference....really?!?

ohh an exploit came into my mind: place damaged vehicles around and engeneer whos sitting in the car and keep damaging the vehicles around hi (with a tank) no it wont work, I will have to make a new poll sorry...

i been an engineer for a while now. the repair point must come faster, meds just throw a pack or two and get 50 team points a round. it takes an eternity to fix a tank in the middle of battle, and you dont even get the point

for every 2 seconds of repair there should be a point given, not to exceed ten seconds, then it resets after 20 or 30 seconds maybe i dunno, but if its changed, it wont be changed by much probably

not many people are engineers, i find myself being the sole engineer many times on my team, and i applaud others who try to do the same. you never know when an engy will come in handy, either by rear defense with mines, by spawning on the squadleader with a nor982 and clearing house by making a graveyard at the flagpole in about 4 seconds, or sacrificing valuable time by spawning to fix the UAV trailer fifteen houndred meters from the battle, and getting one measley ass point, then taking 5 minutes to travel across the map to the battle only to be bombed by a plane. the worst part about this one is to spawn back in the battle and the homo spec ops gets a crate and blows it up again. An engineers nightmare.

Anyway, I don't give a crap. I'm only an engineer when I'm tank whoring. I repair my tank and other vehicles so they can be human shields and keep me whoring longer. K/D is all that matters to me. Teamwork is a blurry concept in BF2.
