Re: Peeps who dump good vehicles.

Generally when I'm sniping, I'll take a DPV or FAV (whatever's available at the time) and drive it over towards my favorite sniping spot. Once there, I'll either booby trap it with a claymore or dump it into water (assuming it's nearby) to make it respawn for the rest of my team a bit quicker.

If you just leave it, it can take ~2-3 minutes before it blows up and another ~30 seconds to respawn a new one. That's an awful lot of time wasted for those that sit around waiting for a new one to appear.

But, if it's a vehicle that I stole from an enemy uncappable, I alway leave it intact somewhere far away from my location. Deny the enemy their vehicles and you'll have more infantry to shoot at. :)

(This is also what I do if I'm flying a jet and see empty tanks or apc's at enemy controlled CP's and can't find anything else to bomb/attack... I'll put a bomb in it to take it down a bunch in health hoping that the enemy who spawns and takes it isn't an engineer making it an easier kill for friendlies)

In the team aspect of the game, leaving a vehicle dumped somewhere only deny's your team mates from using it.

A good example is karkand. The US jeep is often dumped somewhere. Then the bodies mill about at the uncap flag waiting for it to blow up somwhere in the distance so it can respawn in slow time.

It doesn't hurt to chuck a nade or two in the back of it. Uderstandable i suppose if your trying to be sneaky. But no harm otherwise.

Just something to think about.. If you dont need it anymore try and destroy it or at least helpit on its way..

Sorry, guilty here. Not often, but I will hop in a jeep or humvee to get somewhere and then jump out. I mean, it's transportation, right? I'm also guility of not destroying the vehicle after I jump out. I guess I would rather use my grenades on the enemy.

I hate when I am on Karkand and I take an APC to go kill some people and 10 million people are yelling at me, "Hey, I need a ride"

I tell them to walk. I got this apc first. They will mess up my killin'

As an almost dedicated SpecOps or Engineer player, I use these abandoned rides as traps. I find an abandoned ride that isn't smoking (ready to blow up), then either fit a C4 inside it or a mine under it. I take off to the next flag and expect a hearty kill message eventually.
