Just take a look at how their in-match rank system works. You kill someone and you can upgrade your gun. Then you can kill faster, so you kill another guy then you up your armour. Now, you are hardier and killier.

    Repeat for 20 minutes.

Enter a new player, he's stuck with the basic weapons. Player 1 has some sort of nuclear reaper autocannon, and the player 2 be lucky if he had a pea-shooter.

Where's the fun in battling someone, where everytime they kill you, they get HARDER to kill? BF2 at least relies on some relic of skill. A spec-ops can kill a sniper, if he's good with his rifle.

    To quote myself:

"[03:17:38 a.m.] EXetoC - Dru: hm sounds wrong"

Coming from a guy that was the one who started the convo with me on QW anyway.

For that reason alone (or until I'm shown otherwise) I will not be buying QW. It's safe from me.

Well it would seem that the rankings will be just like Wolfenstien:Enemy Territories? If so, that will be awesome. I liked the way they had theirs as it was incentive to stay online longer and get those bonuses. Nobody says you have to keep going after the guy with superior health and firepower.

Will the be any experience points?

A similar system is planned as the one in Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. While playing you gain rewards for different tasks in form of experience points. You keep those until the end of a campaign. It's not clear yet what you will gain from those points, probably things like faster reloads, more health or maybe more ammo. No global ranking system is planned.

That, is EXACTLY what I'm talking about. More health? For an assault style kit, having 150 hitpoints instead of 100 can change the whole infantry aspect of the game. If experience has shown anything, people love the infantry basis of these games. Faster reloads? More ammo? Pfeh. In BF2 the difference between life and death for an armoured soldier as opposed to an unarmoured soldier is often just 1 bullet. If QW goes the way I think it will, then the difference may be 4 or 5. Unacceptable for a "balanced" game.

And incase you've forgotten Sir. Eden, I am quoting YOUR faq.

Bf2 unlocks were balanced, chode. Please explain to me how the f2000 was the BFG of battlefield?

Why should I even have to EVER face a person with those qualities? I cry BS.

There is no buying system in ET:QW and even if there was there wouldnt be any "nuclear pirahnas"

therefore your entire post can emedieatly be disregarded as cow crap.
Sarcasm, an elementary language device that is apparently too complex for you. =Insert further sarcasm here=

Why don't we just call QW what we know it is: BattleQuakeFieldTerritory Wars.

I think it sums up the idea of the game nicely.

First off two things, that FAQ is out of date and "probably things like faster reloads, more health or maybe more ammo." is speculation by the FAQ writer, no one knows how the ranking system will work exept for it will most likely be similar to W:ET.

Go play W:ET, these "qualitys" that you talk about are non existant.
