I must have got 30 kills last night as it seemed too easy and I got the expert sniper badge.

Do you know what, I hardly ever used a snipers' kit, just very rearly. But yesterday I decided to try something new. I got about 78 or 81 kills in one round (and a little lest in a previews round) as a sniper and the most thing I am PROUD in is I did NOT spam the place with claymore! I only used claymore once to protect myself and killed one guy with it.

And I did NOT run around with claymore in hand, I had a pistol in hand instead and still managted to take out a support (or other kit) guy with pistol only.

Though, I did die about 20 times or so.

I think its sort of an either/or thing. either you stay put and try to get those massive (82?? kills ) rifle streaks , or you try to cap flags, drop clays, pistol, knife.

i don't see anything dishonorable about capping flags and protecting those flags with clays! i think the other classes are just jealous that snipers are the most effective infantry.

I agree. I am a very aggresive sniper on Warlord and on that map I consistently get the most flag cap points and the highest points on my team. With a combination of claymores and headshots, I got my veteran explosive ordnance (23 IAR) as well as my expert sniper specialist badges (38 IAR). I tend to live on ladders and ziplines. Just keep moving!

Oh. For a minute there I thought you meant how many sniper HAVE I killed. That is a far more interesting question. Loads. Mostly while they sit on their collective a$$es doing nothing useful.

As for killing people while sniper, it's very few. I don't like playing sniper. I've only done it when I've been out of ammo and picked up a kit of someone.
