I tried the flying high thing, it worked a couple times but most of the time I didn't get up there fast enough cause I still get caught too low lots. The times I did get up there he lost me, thanks for the tip. I also knew about the barrel roll, it seems quite helpful especially against AA sites. I'll use that in combination with the high flying mach 3 thing and it works 85% of the time, which is great against a J10. I still get caught flying too low alot of the time, thats when I get owned. My thing is, instead of doing a 75 degree dive and then bombing when I get to about 50, I'll drop when I get to 100 cause the bombs should hit just a little further forwards. Then get back to my standard altiitude, 400 ft.

hehe you might have seen me playing there. im usually on the chinese side (trying to get my medal) and Gibster401 in a J10 (J-10 whore but pretty good) is a very impresive kill indeed.

If you do it right you will go supersonic, wont hear anything but silence, and will hit around Mach 3.5(3500-3600) and will outrun the J10 and the missile easily.

The J10 cannot reach those speeds even with all its afterburner so it cant keep up. The missiles are fast, but still cant keep up. Speed is the F35 strength and at that altitude it is great.

which is kind of odd, since, in real life, its an attacker aircraft. It usually flies out with F/A-22 Raptors in a four wing formation. the 2 raptors handle all air threats, while the 2 joint strike fighter carries out its bombing run.

for a JSF-35 to go this fast, in real life, it would have to drop most, if not, all of its A-S weapons. one would think anyway

O it definitely works. I just came from 2 rounds "dominating" the other J10 pilots and shot em down using missiles.

1 of them is an okay pilot(hes a J10 whore) and he couldnt understand it and said I had a modified plane :laugh: He got so ****ed off it was hilarious. His bf2 name is Gibster401

I think ea should make the j-10 worse or the f-35 AND the mig better so they are all equal.

no plane should be equal, no rifle should be equal. but they should be balanced. so fix the flares and aa, stop screwing with handling characteristics, its not fixing the problems.

Usually you dont have time to pick the nose and reach 800ft... this idea is dead!

I mean there is no trick in that, the JSF has stronger afterburners and this advantage shot realy itself when flying high, but nothing more... did I miss the point?

actually in REAL Life the fighters and bmbers don't fly as low as most in bf2 want to fly them. They want to be that l33t undefeatable plane that can go kill without any competition.

reality dictates fly HIGH like in real life swoop down for your bomb release.

the idea is only dead to those who can't dive bomb i see it used successfully everyday and in fact used to kill the j10's cause most pilots no matter which plane don't fly high and can be owned from superior elevation

really? that is funny because in the army i was AA (stinger missile) and we would setup right beside a patriot battery. flying high will just get you shot down in real life. hard to hit a nap-of-the-earth jet doing 700MPH . at that speed you dont hear it untill the bombs have already dropped on you and it is past you. that is why they train pilots to fly N.O.T.E for infiltration. sa-6's are not your friend. neither is a stinger and patriot.

at higher altitudes the j10 can not keep up, the trick is to stay high till someone gives you a ground target then dive on it bomb and go back up, this gives the j10 very little time to find and lock on you. at the higher altitude the j10 will not hit mach 3 with you , you will leave him in the dust, you can actually pull right behind him this way and kill him with your guns...once you get it down....

well d'uh, a height advantadge has always been a winning card ever since the dawn of aircombat..

WWI pilots would dive into those massive furballs of planes in order to get good shots and dive out to rinse repeat..

in WWII the fast but less agile BF109 went up real high and dived at spitfires, mustangs whatever, just blasting the guns and theyd be up there again shortly after..

and so on..

After hearing many posts by metallica and with this topic to I have been able to outrun or evade enemy j-10's...But I still have the problem of taking them out. I know you have to chain gun them but unless they're a noob pilot I usually get like 10 shots on them and they turn off leaving me.

One question that if somebody could answer it would help a lot is "throttle control." Somebody mentioned but im not sure exactly what it is. My guess about what throttle control is, is when you accelerate and when you decelerate durning a turn in order to keep up with a J-10. Any help would be greatly appreciated, maybe a movie or screen shots?
